Funny Songs that Remind You of JWs
by Scully inafter reading metatron's post about how love among yourselves has dropped to a lower priority for the wts, i was reminded of a song that i heard ages ago by weird al yankovic that basically says how i feel about any fleeting thought about going back to the jws.. do you have any songs that remind you of why you'll never go back?.

Why One "Inspired" Bible...but endless "literature" about it?
by upside/down in"christians" are so proud of their one bible... the most widely distributed...blah blah blah...and thus it must be "god's" word.... yet the wts (in particular) is constantly producing new "literature"...why?.
can't they comment on what they "know" about a certain scripture and leave it at that...i mean how much real "new light" is there?.
they just rehash the same old crap over and over.... cheeezus...print one book...and then just "revise" it as needed... oh wait...i thought they had one book...the bible.... why do the interpretations need interpretation...???.

I remember studying the "truth that leads...." book. It was easy (obviously not the truth). But every time they publish a book to substitute it as a study book they claim that this new one (3rd or 4th new replacement) will be even easier to bring people to the truth!

How many remember the 15 min break Between the Public Tlk and WT Study?
by Wasanelder Once inas kid i remember a break of 15 minutes between the public talk and the wt study.
all the new ones and "weak" ones ran out to smoke.
loved to see the attendant round them up to come back in when the droning began again.

by run dont walk inin the may 1, 1988 watchtower, on page 22, a witness, matsue ishii, recalls her first encounter with the bible students in 1928: at the back of our house in tojo-cho, osaka, there was a house with a sign: "osaka branch of the international bible students association.
" assuming it to be a christian group, i visited the house.

We always went over these before the CO and/or DO before the actual program. In almost all cases, the traveling overseers would 'guide' and coax the 'real life' comments to bring out a very specific point. Sometimes, that would significantly change the 'experience'.
My part was changed quite a bit, and was said to be more encouraging.
On the other not one of my close friends had one with his family, and the whole thing was a lie. In fact to prove how they would put all interests aside
his sister said that she really wanted a piano real bad, but it would take up too much of her time, and her parents would have to pay with their sweat.... Guess what? 2 months later they bought a piano!

In Paterson, NJ the Jehovah's Witnesses bought out a Masonic Temple a couple of years ago. It is now the same building re-decorated to
house a couple of Kingdom Halls.
Point is............ Masons/demonic? We are not allowed to buy objects from garage sales, but the cong. can convert demonic place into KH?

"JOE SMO" is no longer a Jehovah's Witness (new arrangement)
by DaCheech inmy friend says that chied elder told him that when a person is disfellowshipped,.
the new announcement will say "brother joe smo" is no longer one of jehovah's witnesses!.
my friend asked why is this change?
