  Jehovar or not to Jehobar: WT -vs- Awake

  was looking at the jan 15th watchtower and reading it side by side with the january awake.. jehobar is mentioned probably hundreds of times in the wt (anytime god is referenced), instead in the awake --> god is used instead!!.

  the only 2 or 3 times it is used in this awake is when quoting scriptures directly and jehobar is in that scripture!.

  they are using cute tactics to sway the nieve

  Exactly my point is making this post. Watchtower editors are master salesman!

  Lure them by showing how similiar we are to their beliefs and wants..... and then slowly lure them to the little "bible based priciples"!

  (No cross, no xmas/holidays, flag, etc)

  I heard a similiar talk during the MS day, Boy did this talk confuse me!

  Rutherford this, and knorr that, until this and dat!!!!

  After all was said there was no scriptures to back up the sealing of the number of annointed in the 30's and no scripture to show how God wanted all these changes when the originating organization was not to his WILL

  P.S. by the way we had to endure 11 hours of torture during this Wonderful (not) day

  My friends experience at elder school

  a friend of mind went to elder school recently and i convoy the following for him: .

  the co asked him previously if he could assist with a demonstration showing the superiority of wtbts education to university education.

  my friend holds a few masters' degrees and will be starting a phd program soon so the co thought he would be an excellent candidate to demonstrate the superiority of wtbts education, but there was a little problem my friend he said no.

  Not to belittle any profession, since I have had many since I started working at 12 years old....

  But the WT wants all dubs to be: cleaning agents (maid service), masons, carpenters, fast food service workers, and store clerks!!!!

  Good professions if you choose so, but harldy ones that will leave these to have time to analyze the crap being shoved down their throats through the publications!!!

  Abraham and Solomon, To Kill a Child as a Test

  has anyone considered the similarity in the "tests" that abraham and solomon were involved with in the bible?

  abraham was "tested" by god to see if he would sacrifice (that is kill!

  ) his son if told to do so.. jehovah, who could read what was in hearts and so really did not need the test in the first place, let abraham make the preparations to kill his son to see if abraham would really do it.

  THe God "Jehovah" is vengeful and punishes "children for the faults of their fathers for generations".

  I would love to debate what Jehovah purposefully did to Pharoah by making him follow the Jews to his death..... If I had time!!!

  Even though I have worked hard to be where I am, I would be more sure of myself knowing: --> that I am more than qualified for any job being seeked.
