Gangas & NWT
by voltaire ini heard an interesting program the other night that reminded me of the debates/questions that arise about the tanslation of the nwt.
it has been asserted that since george gangas was a speaker of modern greek he was not qualified to translate biblical greek.
the progam i heard is hosted by milt rosenberg on wgn 720 and the guests were two linguists from illinois universities ( i can't recall their names).

anyone here ever go on a cruise with a large group of JW's?
by PaNiCAtTaCk inive been on two cruises in the early 90's with large amounts of witnesses.
one cruise we had around 85 and the other 175. one night on the larger jw cruise there were 50 or so of us watching this comedian.
he started getting a little crude using words like penis so we all got up at the same time and walked out during his act.

Call the police, get a restraining order for their forceful behavior.
But........... who cares if the hub/jerk gets a scriptural divorce or not?
Hell probably get another one in 3-5 years. Divorces in JW's are getting widespread. The WT always blames the wrong one, but let them follow their pipe dreams until there's no more cash to buy the pipe

this week, my congregation has the privilege of the visit from the circuit overseer.. my mother took a day off work to go out.
i put in for extra hours.. in the off chance we get wrapped up in discussion, what should i say?.

JW's I know are being told that Bethellites are still given housing (in bethel or KH).
They are being used for the most important work of preaching in which is very needed these last days

Once on another board, I was having heated discussions with a Dub..... Well she did a Google search and much more to see where my name popped up. If I was stupid enough to use this name on my own site or sell stuff on Ebay I would be Df'd by now!!!!
