have elders ever been sued successfully?

this point was brought up in the "big news has started" thread (and is now buried on page 3).
interesting point, and i wonder if anyone has ever heard of a case where elders have been successfully sued over judicial matters (slander / libel) or wrongful death (blood)?

I am now realizing how much blood giult I would have being elder. that is why I will not accept eldership.
I encourage all here to step down of being elder, unless they are staying there to help bring down the WT!!
Hope some CO's and DO's are helping us too!!!

Marriage - Why bother?
by Spectrum inyet another friend's marriage has broken down(5th), this one i did not predict at all.
it came as a shock to me.
they got married after 10 years of living together so it's not like they didn't know each other.

Marriage needs work from both partners (if a man thinks he can come home at night and get free dinner and sex, he's dreaming) (and if a woman thinks she's getting a free ride to spend all she can of his money, and let a housekeeper do everything, and the man works his arse off, then she;s dreaming)
everyone has needs, and marriage is for the ones that will sacrifice all for the other one, at the same time if the other one does not appreciate this work.... it will eventually turn into a sour spill.
I also think that if you were lousy at your 1st marriage, there is no reason for a 2nd, 3rd etc
Children in high school should be taught the hard line facts of this binding contract, they then should realize that unlike any other contract that ends briefly; this one is longterm and can cost you on many diffrent fronts!!!
I have seen men living in basements while their ex lives in their comfty homes. One co-worker of mine was dating this woman that was allowed to live in the home (no splitting the home funds until the children were out of college), and he bas ban**ng her in that home while her children were in the other rooms, and her ex was paying all the bills of that home!!!
to a middle class person, with children divorce can be un-affordable!

Question for JWs still on the "inside":
by Hellrider injust a question: if you are still jws (for any reason, many just can`t leave because their entire families are wrapped around it, etc), but don`t believe in it, and lead a "double life", how do you cope with going door to door?
i just can`t imagine how it must feel like to go out there and try to tell people at the doors or in the streets things you know are just bs!
how do you deal with that?

WTS says that JW children are better educated
by Lady Lee ini can't find the quote for this but i remember being told that jw children were way ahead of their classmates when it came to reading and spelling.
both my daughters knew how to read before they got to school.. i remember writing school reports and using the awake!

Sad and True

ah, i am 17 and my mum is just 40.. she hasn't planned for her pension, she won't dedicate to a proper job or anything though i am trying to push her into anything.. the thing is, i don't just want her out of her faith, i want her to have a future where she can live and retire, she can't work forever and what if she got sick?.
ah, it drives me crazy what the witnesses do, maybe one day she might wake up, get angry with the wbt society and sue them!
