Marriage question
by starfish422 ini have a question for those who got married in a jw ceremony, or who became jws after being married.
did the elder marrying you, or those studying with you, counsel you as to what forms of sexual intercourse are acceptable within jehovah's loving organization(tm)?
just having a "discussion" of sorts on another board and i'm being challenged by a dutiful jw wife.

From what I can understand, there used to be quite a big deal made about what was and wasn't acceptable 'bedroom behaviour' between married couples; some even feeling the need to confess to embarrased (envious) elders about their partners demands after marriage. Crisis of Conscience delves into it a bit.... As far as I know there has been a big U-Turn on it hough, now being left to the couple to decide what is and isn't appropriate, as they will ultimately have to answer to J for it anyway.
From personal experience, I never was counselled about appropriate sexual relations when I got married the first time... but during a meeting for field service an elder did bring up the question of whether a '69' is acceptable or not!!!!
I wonder what was on his mind ????

by formerout ini have personally been reading a lot more of the "serious" posts lately and thought it would be good for me (and hopefully others) to share a bit of humour.
i will start by telling a funny little story about what my six year-old daughter said this weekend:.

My friends took their kids to see "Free Willy" at the cinema when that first came out - a 6 yr old boy and 4 yr old girl.
On the way back, the little boy excitedly declared that he was going to draw a whale when he got home. The little girl said "Yeah, I'm going to draw a Willy!"
How we laughed!!!!

I like really attractive hair - the longer the better, but it must be well conditioned!!.... gives ya something to 'Hang on to!!'
I also really like smiles... the kind that light up the whole face, showing a beautiful set of pearly whites underneath!
Confidence and poise is something else that is alluring... a 'plain' looking woman can be really sexy because of her confidence, almost kind of an aura around such people.

Seriously now, for me it's all the daft little things... getting an email saying "I miss you"; being in the same room, and having to be in physical contact in some little way; waking up like 'spoons'

Not sure really - I thought a tattoo would hurt... until I had one done. I think the biggest problem would be keeping it stuck out for long periods... without getting electrocuted cos of all the spittle !!! LOL!
It's just an idea I'm toying with at the minute... will have to make sure my breath's fresh first... don't wanna make the tattooist passout partway through!
