you will notice that the circulation is 22,842,000.. i received the january monthly issue of the awake!
yesterday, and noticed that the circulation jumped to 32,412,000. .
My theory is that the carbon dioxide increase in our atmopsphere is as a direct result of people burning their unwanted JW literature....
... the evidence is there.... 50 - 60 years ago - no global warming, limited production of JW propoganda...
...... today - multi million production of Botchtower and Asleep - Global warming on epic scale.
What further evidence do we need ?

i've been reading some essays concerning disagreement online that got me thinking - i won't even attempt to do them justice but to share some ideas that struck home to me.
we spend most of the time here sharing ideas and thoughts often in response to other posts and as arguements to invalidate or re-colour what someone else said.
there is an implicit drive behind each thread to somehow approximate a 'truth' from the many different viewpoints - almost like a collective conscience ('the forum') weighing and then selecting or rejecting the mood of the thread and as we share in the posts we add just a little weight and influence to its direction.
For me, that answer would depend on what I had to do once I had it!
For example. If I had 'The Truth' revealed to me, would I then be expected to start telling others, maybe form little groups of 'beleivers', then gather these together to 'study' or reaffirm 'the truth'. Then, as we convert more to 'the truth', but a dedicated building to meet in etc etc until one day somebody's posting on a board like this complaining about my 'truth' and why it's wrong.
My opinion - I'm not ready to know 'the truth' cos of the weight of responsibility that would bring.

the information about the elders school disturbed me.
how many little boys, baptized way before they should be, will be permanently damaged in their sexual life because a dub parent turned them in to the elders because they were caught beating off to boobies in a newspaper or magazine?

My ex wife's mum used to come up with some pretty strange answers.... always off topic and rambling. I think she was having some sort of break down... had split up with hubby, returned to Jdubs after 1 1/2 year break, and took to wandering around clutching her NWT.. then started partaking of the emblems.. quite the scandal in my old cong !!

i had a septoplasty, turbinate shaving, & removal of a nasal bone spur this last monday.
i almost posted that i was going to have a procedure and ask that you all keep me in your thoughts.....but, thought that compared to what some here are going through, that this would be nothing at all.
has anyone here had similar surgery?

My sympathies go to you - I've been there, and it really isn't pleasant. Hope the pain subsides soon...
Got to go there again soon too - March next year - I've got a blocked tear duct that keeps getting infected, so they're gonna break the bone between my nose and eye and put a new tube through, and they're gonna remove some polyps from my nasal cavity at the same time.
Last op I had - they had to take some bone away from my jaw and graft it under my nose, and move the top jaw forward 5 mm... but the pain from that felt like nothing compared the pain from my nose where they trimmed the bone and scraped the linings !!!
btw.... none of this was cosmetic surgery - I had TMJ syndrome, so needed the op.
