Swearing - Do you?
by Rosey inone of the things you're not supposed to do as a witness is swear.......but sometimes the definition of what a swear word was went too far.
for example in my family at one point my parents decided for a little while that we should stop saying the word "bum" after having used it forever.
this did not last as a swear word for very long as.........well i mean .....come on!.

For those of you going to meetings, assemblies or conventions, try this.....
by awildflower inthe last official 'meeting' i went to was in january at our two day assembly.
believe me i didn't want to go but i did and took a different kind of notes.
for one i wrote down in my note book words like "faithful and discreet slave", gb, organization, fruits of the spirit, jesus, and put a check mark next to each time i heard one of them, (just like when we were kids guys!).

We were always taught to think critically about OTHER religions just not ours. One day we developed some doubts so we turned that search light on our own beliefs and discovered they could not stand up to scrutiny, so we left.
For most of us though that searchlight hasn't gone out. So when another religion pops up we look at it critically and find it wanting. In my experience the only people who remain 'christian' or 'religious' are those that use intentional ignorance to blind that searchlight.

Ok first off you have to stop or I'm going to start billing you for keyboards when I spit whatever I'm drinking at the time on them. Secondly the paper doesn't say what religion everyone involved in an accident is! You don't see headlines like 'Mormon shot dead in sex triangle...' You see 'Man' or 'One dead' you might see a reference to religion somewhere in the article but not the headline silly!
The other thing is no it would NOT have an effect as it would just be chalked up to human frailty. Now if there was a internet power surge that killed everyone on a porn site at the time and it wiped out 90% of the elders and MS then that would have some effect but I wouldn't know cause I would be dead...
