  WTS causing more anguish

  i don't really know where to start on my first post; i feel i have so much to say and yet i am so emotionally tired that it is hard to go through it all again in my head.

  but, i do need support and advice and so i will make the effort.. i started having doubts about certain beliefs of the witnesses about 2 years ago and did research since that i now come to the belief there is no god, and witnesses definitely are a cult.. at first it bothered me more on the god issue, but now i am more bothered by the cult issue, mainly because it dictates my life even though i am aware of it.. when i was a child, my mother and father divorced and my mother told me i will live with my father because she was going to die at armageddon being a non witness.

  i think, as well as many other pressures i cant list for fear of a very long post, this was the main pressure that made me get baptized even though i wasn't that happy being a witness.

  Move, get the hell out of dodge. Get to a new area, new state, new city and don't ever step foot in a kingdom hall again. Yeah it might be hard on your wife, yeah she might leave you, yeah you might have to fight for custody. But right now you're lying to her, how much can you really love her if you're lying to her?

  When Did You First Get Exposed To "Apostate" Info? How Did It Affect You?

  as a kid, i used to read all the watchtowers of the 40s and 50s to see how the present day information developed from its original "thought".

  i was exposed to many eye opening statements but i swept them under the carpet (although it stayed in the recesses of my brain) until the time was right.. so for me, it was a gradual thing.. how were you affected by your first encounters with "apostate" material?

  I was out for about a year and a half before I went looking. I didn't believe it was true I had pretty much realized that the belief in god was ignorant but I hadn't started looking closely at witness beliefs. I basically did it because my family wouldn't leave me ALONE. I kept getting that 'you KNOW it's the truth, you know it's the truth... So I started researching just go get ammo to make them leave me alone.

  No it's not fake it's very real, this is one of the, if not THE dumbest conspiracy theory of all time! (contrails comes pretty close but I think this is still dumber) I mean you could go down and WATCH these giant rockets taking off and see the video these guys shot. THOUSANDS of hours of it over the course of the Gemini and Apollo launches. I mean 9/11 is dumb but this is outright ignorant. In fact just last week they released pictures of the moon landing sites with clearly visual modules and footprints from the new low moon orbit satellites. These people are choosing to be ignorant and as such they all should get punched in the face at least once a day on general principles!

  I think this kid got off light, he was dealing with a very very tough old bird here and he's lucky ol' Buzz didn't just keep beating his ass until someone came along and pulled him off that punk. Calling ANY military man a coward and a liar is a fools game to begin with, you want to step up to that you better be ready to fight or run! Actually I think he might have had a hard time finding someone who would have bothered to pull Buzz off, I sure wouldn't have, in fact if I had been there to hear that shit I might have kicked him a few times myself once Buzz put him on the floor...

  families with younger children had to sit in the last 3 rows or they were counseled!.

  disfellowshipped persons were told not to sit next to each other and talk because it "looks like they're unrepentant"..

  No sex in the parking lot.

  Luckily in most of the halls I went to that rule wasn't enforced... I even fooled around in the lunch area with a pioneer once... GOOD times! lol

  the mirrors in the bathrooms should all be papered over.

  I would just tear that crap off, you get some weird looks but no one will protest. They are all tough as hell behind your back.

  Did she buy her snowboard at a garage sale? Was it demonised?

  Maybe her board had a picture of a smurf on it!? She should have gone out and gotten a burton ouija!

  Thats funny because we had congregation ski/snowboarding trips after the meetings on sunday at least once a month in the winter. We had an older elder who raised hell about it saying it was a dangerous sport but since most of the other elders liked skiing everyone just ignored him.

  Hypothetically, If Someone Created a Fake Congregation to Trick Another...

  if someone wanted to create a fake congregation in 7-miles-from-nowhere, north dakota (7-m-f-n, n.d. congregation) in order to trick the elders at another congregation, what could they get away with?.

  The only good thing about this plan would be to flood and I mean FLOOD bethel with information request, request for forms, request to set up a new hall from 3000 different locations. I mean anything that clogs the pipes and shuts them down for a few weeks is all to the good! I mean they probably have 5-10 bethel workers who handle this stuff and are overworked already if we could send 10 or 15,000 request all from fictitious congregations that would be fun!

  at the moment i'm on high octane, shifting into high gear .... i believe this morning's brew is akin to espresso in volatility.. any suggestions as to an exact quantity of cafe per 8-cup coffee maker?.
