  Have many become atheists who've left the Watchtower?

  thought i've never been a jw, my wife is, and she was df'd a couple months ago when we got married (we were together a short while before getting married).

  sometimes it seems she still tries to defend jw doctrines... others, it seems she's about ready to accept the idea of some other views (protestant), and yet i've wondered at times when she says she doesn't know what to believe if she's about ready to forget religion altogether.

  i'd prefer she keeps her faith in god but seek her understanding more from the bible than just from other people's doctrines -- esp.

  Brownhole wins by a truck load in my book! He's awesomely bad, maybe he should run for president! As to Scholar he's just boring his arguments are complete trash and he thinks the more he repeats them the more valid they become... I think he got his BA in BS from reading the awake magazine... Nuff said!

  The dear man had trouble comming to grips with the fact that no one really influenced my thinking but me.

  Isnt' it funny how the borg responds to this stuff? I have been out for a while now but I still have to deal with this stupidity! My wife can accept that I can write a twenty five page report for my college classes with bibliography and sorces and get a grade of 98%, but if I say "look at this passage in the bible I just read" then she says YOU'VE BEEN TALKING TO THOSE GD APOSTATES AGAIN HAVEN'T YOU! I guess I'm just to stupid to READ a book...

  Just another doom's day wet dream... oil will not be the end of civilization... Dumping zillions of tons of toxic waste in the oceans every year... Well now you at least have my attention! I have to agree with proplog on this one though!

  i just had an interesting experience today.

  i ran into an old ex-friend that had just been released from prison.

  he was sentenced for selling pot to the highschool girls he coached for soccer and for sleeping with underage girls.

  ok question-

  The account does say that the waters reached something like 10 cubits above the highest mountain peak . There have been other examples of animals being frozen alive , such as the wooly mamoth that was discovered by eskimos and thawed out then they ate it thousands of years later

  If the entire world was covered with water why in the world would mamoths have vegitation still in their mouths? wouldnt' swirling currents and water movement completly wash away the ice caps? They may eventually refreeze but this would hardly be instantanious so these animals would be washed around for weeks why are none of the corpses bloated like they had floated for a few weeks? Not to be gross but look at the tsunami victims if they were flash frozen and thawed out in 5000 years there would be no doubt how they died do these animals with food still in their stomachs have water in their lungs as well?

  Ok so what would it take to convince people that the ark was bullship? I will agree that if they found a huge ass boat on top of a mountain in the mid east with dna traces of animals not localy found I would reconsider... What would it take to get a fundy to do the same?

  this is for those of you who sent me a private message saying you dont believe me, your letting your old jw traits come out, you know, not believing things when the facts stare you in the face unless it comes from the org.

  maybee you should go back and re join them.. to confirm what happened .

  i was at a john denver concert in the uk many years ago, he asked all catholics to stand up, after he got them seated he did the same with church of england, then the same with a couple of other religions, after he asked all jw's to stand up he announced that the concert would not go on untill they had all left and he then left the stage.

  I believe JD met his demise in an expermental aircraft off of the coast of California, that was B1rd related mishap (bird strike) <<< Urban legions U gotta love um' >>>

  Well I will freely admit I was wrong I have never investigated the crash but here's someone who has it had nothing to do with a bird either so BLAAAAA

  I would personally wonder if he was drunk off his a$$ but you'd never pry that info out of ANYONE as mentioned before my FAA instructor was a crash investigator and DID tell me a lot about the Kennedy crash which he WAS involved in all I'll say is you NEVER get the whole story with these situations...
