  recently i received an e-mail from someone very close to me.

  the e-mail was so vile, i stopped reading and called a good friend who is a jw.

  the jw knows the writer very well.

  BE AWARE that these teaching are AT THIS MOMENT still being indoctrined in the Cong. I know, I'm experiencing first hand.

  I can feel it when my youngest son is with me. He has been instructed not to speak about "spiritual" matters.!!! He is 13. He has been instructed not to watch the movie "Harry Potter". Why? There's withcraft in the movie. First hand WT propaganda.

  i haven't told this to very many people, so here goes.. when i was a child, my parents became jw's (i was almost 5), so i had celebrated christmas a few times, but have few memories of it, other than the bubble lights, and a huge tree and my grandparent's house.

  when we stopped celebrating it, i didn't really "get it", and i still believed in santa claus.

  i just thought he didn't come to our house anymore.

  i started to reflect on it the other day how it was like,some great honor to go down there,and be jammed into this tiny space with maybe eight others and try to play cards or some board game.

  and try to be quiet at the same time.nice view of the city though.

  i used to think of all the people down there who spend so much on rent,or a mortgage to live down there and the bethelites basically live there for free.

  Get an investigation at UN started?

  do you think the un would begin an investigation if enough of us wrote them to ask for it?

  (letters would be better than email for this, i think.

  ) perhaps to the secretariat office or the ambassador from the country you reside in?

  I agree there should be an investigation. But I also agree with dazed that they don't give a rat's ass. We have to make clear to the UN that the influence of the WT does not just stop at the witnesses self. Prove that they disrupt society as a whole. Prove somehow that the world is better off without the WT.

  The Taliban is fundamentalistic Moslem Organization. Prove that the WT is a fundamentalistic Christian Org. Prove that the WT does real damage to the minds of people. Don'be hasty. That causes mistakes. We WILL take them down, but do it with caution and consult.

  i heard an announcement was made at another congregations meeting.. the "brother", was publicly reproved.. no biggie.. heres what i'm having a tough time with..... they announced exactly what his restrictions were.

  i thought just an anouncement and thats it, why start naming restrictions ?

  next, they'll be stating reasons for df'ing and stuff.. can i get former or present elderr thoughts?

  the former wrongdoer has been reproved by a judicial committee and has demonstrated repentance. Also, the judicial committee may feel it necessary to impose certain restrictions. These might include not sharing in meeting parts, not representing the congregation in prayer or, perhaps, not reading scriptures or commenting at meetings.

  Was the governing body reproved for joining the UN? Or does wrongdoing only apply to the publishers?
