  As a JW, Did You Ever Get Away With Anything That Was a DF'ing Offense??

  How Many People Are Less Stressed Since Leaving The Witnesses?

  do you feel better----emotionally and mentally since stopping meetings and living under the rules of the witnesses?

  i've heard reports of better physical and mental health since persons have left the organization.

  I was very stressed at first. Depressed, guilt ridden, sufffering anxiety attacks. It took a few years and some antidepressants, but now I feel great!!

  I was at work and didn't feel it. One of my coworkers did and pointed out how all the light fixtures were swinging around. Kind of creeped me out seeing as it's almost October...the world series...you know.

  Just had to have my cat put down! :(

  i had to have my 7 year old persian puddy.

  kashmir, put down on sunday.. poor thing was crying all the time and would hardly move, so i took him to the emergency vet.

  he had a huge tumour blocking his intestines.

  I am so sorry! I lost one of my babies in may..hit and run. I work at a vet, and unfortunately see this sort of thing everyday. I know how difficult it is to lose a pet. They are always there for you and they never ever judge you. They really are some of the best friends you can find. Hang in there, it will get easier.

  Tell me about your "Dedication"

  for jws, there is a two-step process for committing yourself to god.

  before you get baptized in public, you are supposed to privately "dedicate" yourself to god in prayer.. i was a child who knelt in the corner of my room after completing my final "interview" of questions from an elder.

  i tried to be sincere, but i was aware i had no emotional currency (i was only 13, give me a break!).

  I think I was about 12. I always prayed when I went to bed, and I prayed ferverently, dedicating myself to god. I thought I was cognizant of my decision, but who could be at 12? I also think that getting dedicated and baptized was largely a popularity contest in the kh. Seems everyone was doing, and everyone was so proud of you! Maybe the presents were my motivating factor...

  he was just being interviewed in england and they are treating him like some sort of god, they even said he's as popular as jesus!

  hi - i"m new to this though i've been reading it for some time.i"m 57 my wife have been with the wtbts for too long 18 ys (aproximatelly ) have two sons - one was baptized one was not but all are out of it for a couple of yrs now - glad we're out .

  anyways - just wanted to say hi - this site has been good for us especially me - talk to yu guys later

  What grammatical errors bug you the most?

  for me it's the use of : .

  it's as a possessive - it's means "it is", so if you don't want to say "it is" don't use the apostrophe.

  there are others that bug me but this one is the worst.

  "Axe" instead of "ask" makes me crazy! I also can't stand it when people say "brefast" instead of "breakfast".
