  Celebrating my first real Xmas ever with my 33 year old daughter......her love...........his son who is now my step grandson (14) years old and her mother-in-law. Doing this in Florida and really can't wait until it is all over so I can go back home to Pennsylvania.

  i was talking with my mom the other day and we got on the subject of my father's funeral.

  it old her that one of the reasons my son did not ever want to go back to the kh was because of how i was shunned, even at my dad's own funeral.. she said "i know, he just doesn't understand" - i replied "no - he knows why - he just doesn't believe that's what jesus would have wanted".

  she had no response to that.

  Elders raid a SDA church!

  is it true what we're hearing?

  it's been reported to us that two elders burst in to a sda church service about a month ago seeking to trap a witness man there.

  the man, a witness for 14 years, had become disillusioned with the affairs of the wts in australia after viewing the "sunday" program on channel nine which exposed the cover-up of paedophilia in the witness movement.

  They are absolutely disgusting. JW's think they are above everything and everybody. I'm sure glad I am out.

  How bizarre! What on earth possessed those Tasmanian elders to do such a thing? Clearly the arrogance of the WTS knows no bounds!

  Just wondering if they would "boldly" walk into the church I am now attending less than a quarter mile from the KH I used to go to? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........2 elders disrupting a wonderful service with about 300 in attendance. My pastor knows my story and one day he will have a program featuring ME of all people talking about the danger of the cult. I'm slowly putting things together and will be asking for assistance on this forum when the time comes.

  he was accepting $500 from a charity that provides money at this time of year, the heading was, "the season of goodwill".

  rutherford?.

  i place this in scandels and coeverups because there has been a bigtime coverup throughout the years on all aspects of rutherford's life.. it is high time for some light to be shown on him!.

  I for one would love to see this. It would be great if someone with the knowledge and the mind to do it would take all info about the WT and put it in subtitles that ones like me without much knowhow could get to what we needed when we needed it.
  
  Guess that's what made me a good elder when I was one...............the ability to use love instead of rules when dealing with someone who came forward with a problem.

  Funny you should ask this today since I just got a letter from my attorney today.

  On October 6 of last year I was riding my Harley and heading for home. Just 3 blocks from my house someone came through a stopsign and broadsided me. The Harley was totaled and I spent two days in the trauma unit. Thankfully there were no broken bones or internal injuries.........but I still lost over a week of work and there was enough muscle damage that I couldn't walk right for over a month.

  My advice is to get an attorney no matter how little physical injury you have. It has taken over a year but it looks like I should get a check in the mail soon........and even after attorney fees..........it will be more than I would have got just dealing with the other guys insurance company.

  I forgot to add: As far as settlement of medical............my own medical insurance paid for everything and they are not interested in recouping it from the other guys insurance company. The only thing I have to pay out of the settlement is tha ambulance bill....$650.00 and the attorney fee.....30% This is what has taken so long. the attorney told me that he had to wait for a reply from my insurance provider to see if they wanted their money back. They never replied to him within the alloted time.......so I should get a nice check soon. (HOPEFULLY)

  And by the way............the other guys insurance paid me $1,700.00 more than I paid for this classic Harley. Only problem is.........this was a custom bike with engraved chrome all over that would cost over $5,000 today just for the engraving. It was a real loss............but at least I have pictures of the bike. The guy I bought it from paid $3,000 just for the engraving back in 1985.......and $3,000 just for the paint job back then. I know this to be true because he had all the receipts for me when I bought it. Worst thing about owning a classic is that insurance carriers won't insure them for what they are worth.....only for the year that they were manufactured. Now........me being uninformed at the time........maybe there are insurance carriers who will.............for a great amount of $$ insure classic bikes.......but I did not know this at the time...........

  OOOOOOOOhhhhhhhh sorry.............I'm rambling on...........this question was just about medical. SORRY!

  Hope I have helped a little.

  PM me in a week or so and I will tell you how much I got, and if I'm going to buy another Harley out of it.

  watching pbs the other night, they had a folk music concert with many of the greats of the early 60's.

  (my gawd have i gotten old, and i was a kid when these songs came out).

  the one that really got to me was eve of destruction sung by barry mcguire.

  Hey Brenda,

  I loved that song at the time it came out. Only problem was that I was recently discharged from the Army........met and married a "wonderful" JW girl (oh the shit that she was given for marrying an "interested person" who wasn't baptized.......but I got baptized 6 months later) And we were happily married for 27 years until she died from cancer.

  Everything happened so fast after my Army discharge that I never had time to deprogram so to speak........you know.......the new system will right all the wrongs and all that.............so 13 years later I almost lost my mind because of post traumatic stress syndrome. All the memories came back and were eating at my very being. There were a lot of movies coming out about Vietnam at the time and it hit me all over. It was a real scary and mental/emotional time for me.

  Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh..............getting out of the borg has been sooooooooo healing. I can now talk about it and support my fellow vets (which I did on the sneak as a JW. I always donated to disabled vets)

  DF'D WITNESS GETS THE BETTER OF DUB

  oh man, this is hilarious.......a friend of mine who left the borg a few years ago and is now df'd, was making a delivery (he's a truck driver) to a company where they're all witnesses.

  he knew they were dubs, but they had no idea he used to be one.

  as he was finishing his delivery, one of them says to him "did you know that jesus did not celebrate his birthday on december 25th?
