  you on the right disagree with roe v wade... so that means that you want to redefine when a zygote, embryo, or a fetus has what anyone would rule for lack of better words "the right to life"... .

  exactly when is life, human as per your definition?

  I hope you are not just plain old trying to create a controversial post. There has been enough of the Masonic connection written about, ad-nauseum here on JWD by conspiracy theorists.
  
  Please take this with a grain of salt. My intention is not to ridicule or make fun...........but if you ever were a JW for any length of time, you should know that belonging to any other organization was and still is a no-no within the ranks of the JW's. Now, it depends on the local poobahs to approve or denounce anyone being a volunteer fireman or other volunteer type of civic involvement. But NO.........you could not be a Mason and a JW.
  
  I knew a few bro's who WERE Mason's but left it upon becoming a JW. They seemed to have found an easier way to be a "SOMEBODY" by becoming a JW and doing the magic number of hours each month and saying all the right stuff. It was a lot easier than remembering the oral tradition of Masonry.

  Dawg, As I started reading this I thought "man, Dawg is really ok. He's saying just what I would say if I could put my thoughts into meaningful sentences. Then I saw what your real rant is. Dawg, please reread the beginning of your post to the point where you turn it political. You are no different than the religion you bash. You are forcefully spouting your hate filled crap toward another group composed of individuals who don't want to believe the other way. Yes, the Bush administration sucks bigtime, but you need to get a reality check and learn your facts before speaking as if you are all-knowing. You are actually making a fool of yourself with your endless Republican bashing. Have another drink. That seems to be what makes you brave with the keyboard. HappyDad

  What is the market doing to your portfolio?

  this market crash is ravaging my portfolio - but i'm not selling.. things can go up and down.. it hasn't quite got to the point where people are throwing their silver and gold into the streets, but who knows?.

  an elder i know who has a good job in it has already lost several thousand dollars of his 401k.

  it's hard to know whether to sell.. cash is king.. .

  I don't know what it was like where you live, but here in Western Pa and in particular....the cong. I was in.....they made it known that the end was coming soon and if you did much saving......you weren't putting your faith in Jehovah's kingdom. Why save? You will just lose it all when money is thrown into the street.
  
  So.......no matter how much overtime I worked.....my late wife just spent more. The bills weren't paid off with all the overtime money, more bills were made.
  
  My fault? Yes, I guess you could say so, but that was the mentality here.
  
  Any intelligent person making the kind of money I did would have a nice nest egg in the six figure area...........and the first number would not be 1. Not me.....the loyal J Dub. Today, I just make ends meet and have a house in an encroaching ghetto. If I tried to sell it, I'd be lucky to get $12,000 to $15,000 for it. That's right! Houses in the lower income neighborhoods of the greater Pittsburgh area are very cheap.

  I watched a few episodes before it went Showtime and now I'm lost.
  
  My daughter told me that she bought the first and second season on DVD and she will send them to me within a few weeks
  
  I can't wait!
  
  Today's society needs more vigilante types like Dexter to take care of what the law can't.

  Baptised in 1970.
  
  Elder from 1986 to 1991. Stepped down (QUIT) because of all the hypocrisy I witnessed in the body.
  
  It took me another 9 years to realize all of it is a sham........and another 3 years (you know.....the guilt and wondering if it is still the truth) to never step into a KH again.
  
  Last time in a KH was Memorial of 2003.

  while doing some job hunting, i came across an ad for a cleaning business called "paradise cleaning" or something like that.

  i'd think it's a 99% chance that the company is a bunch of jws.

  what are some of the goofy names you've seen for jw's home businesses?

  The bro who installed my furnace and ac in 1994 used only one line of furnace. His ads in the local press read:
  
  (Bro's first and last name) HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING
  (brand name of furnace and ac) "A SYSTEM YOU CAN COUNT ON"
  
  I will say that he was and probably still is a good guy.

  i think the school works differently now, but when i was a kid, a #2 talk was 5 minutes and i would give it in about 3 minutes...why did the meeting still end at 9:15!

  ps.........do you remember when those tms meeting were 2 hours??????
