First murder of the Watchtower as Corporation??
by Jaime l de Aragon inmurder investigation alleged to involve watchtower according to world famous detectivenote: all persons or entities such as a corporation are to be considered innocent until or unless proved otherwise by a court of law.the detective who has acknowledged watchtower is obviously involved is scott bernstein who has been on america's most wanted tv series etc.
there's more about what he said on a taped phone conference farther below which also see.. .
from what has been said and repeated by many others, including david lynn carter of roanoke/wirth, virginia, when he was alive, david had been under u.s. federal protection after having been poisoned by two jehovah's witness elders and a relative although he also contended with having been born with a genetic condition.

I am totally stunned! This religious cult has destroyed too many people. My heart goes out to the ones who love him. May the rest burn in hell if there is such a place.

Danno,
If you took your flight training at PFT (that's where I went) then we live in the same part of PA.
Good luck in your endeavors.

Do you ever just start CRYING for apparently no reason?
by Terry ini spoke to a friend of mine about this not too long ago.. we are "of a certain age".. the subject came up somehow.. .
i'll be watching a tv commercial or i'll see some people in a park or a simple passing thought will suddenly induce a profound.
sense of---well, how to describe it?

The only comment I can make is....yes Terry. It happens to me sometimes for all of the reasons you stated. I will be 66 in less than 5 months and for the past couple of years I have realized that I am changing physically, and not for the better. I wonder what will be in the next few years not only physically but financially. Will I wind up in a senior "wharehouse" where I'm not really taken care of?
I see young families and think of the time I was in that position. My heart aches at times that I don't have a companion. Oh yes, I have a lot of friends and some of them are lady's. But I haven't met one that I want to be with permanently. At the end of the day, I'm always back in my apartment looking at four walls.
However I am very lucky to have a daughter who loves me and is always after me to move to Florida so I can be closer to her. Her reasoning "jokingly with tongue in cheek" is that I'm not getting any younger and if it comes to the point......she can't fly up to Pittsburgh to change my diapers.....so I need to be by her.
One thing I have to do is to spend more time thinking of all the good that has been and still is happening to me post WT. I'm a very lucky man. In the past 5 years or so, I have already lost friends who were younger than me to cancer, heart disease and other malady's.
It's just one day at a time!

Let's Discuss Ray Franz's Books
by Recovery ini have been repeatedly pleaded with to read the books of ray franz in my short stay on this board.
apparently these are all the all-powerful, wt crushing arguments, that lead so many to leave jw's and become ruthless opposers of god's people.
we can discuss any claims/statements/scriptural arguments presented in either of his books, as long as it somehow proves jehovah's witnesses are not god's people.

Recovery,
Who gives a shit about scriptual debate? Most of us had our fill of it for decades. I for one don't ever want to debate scriptures even though many of my past posts talked of only "still" being a Christian.
Debate time is in the past. It is now time for living my wonderful life with whatever years I have left.

Went to the DC with my wife.... WHY OH WHY???
by Cinciguy74 inso, in a tit for tat agreement with my wife to do something i wanted to do, i agreed to go with my wife for saturday and sunday to the district convention.. for most of the day, i simply read other things, paying little attention to what was going on.
my wife could care less if i am paying attention, more that i am there to wrangle little ones who are being distruptive so she can listen.. but one of the things i did catch, was that they highlighted "four satanic teachings".. one of which was that "you need a higher education to succeed in this world".
so higher education is now satanic??

Ohhh! They can violate constitutional rights but let an American businessman require everyone who comes into his/her busuness speak English is wrong. Looks like our forefathers and us as well, are going to be flushed down the toilet. And the liberal bleeding hearts here are probably jumping for joy.

The Question you have been waiting for.....!
by Terry insomebody you think you know well enough to trust writes you a big check.. the check bounces.. they don't exactly apologize, but, give a plausible explanation.. they then write you another check on a different account.. since you believe them very trustworthy you accept it graciously.. .
on the strength of their reputation and assurances you deposit the check in your own account.. from there you proceed to pay for various necessities, mortgage payment, insurance and childcare expenses.. the check bounces again!.
your checks, consquently, also bounce!.

My advice to any young person getting out of high school is to go to a trade school and become a plumber. No matter how technichal the world gets, you still need a license to unclog a toilet. The bottom line on the main thing that a plumber tech needs to know is that crap flows down hill and the hot is on the left and cold on the right. And yes..you will get dirty.
Ok.....now that I made a funny.....remember that it takes a lot of knowledge to be a plumber and I am not putting the trade down whatsoever. How many master degreed idiots know all the different fittings and pipe sizes and the building codes that a registered master plumber needs to know to even get a license for his/her business?
I know several plumbers making 6 figures a year and they are happy.

I've been enlightened.
by Emery inive been lurking for quite sometime and now feel the need to come and noob it up.
it's taken a lot to bring me to read anything critical of the wts.
i used to glance at these apostate sites and shutter in fear because of the obvious demonic venom that can be found :) i am still an active witness and have been in this struggle to stay both in and be removed mentally from this organization.

Welcome and get ready to learn the truth about the truth.
I'm 65 years old and spent over 30 years knocking on doors and trying to convince myself that this was God's organization. Wrong!
I wish you the best.
