  I have known people with many academic degrees and high paying jobs and people who are constitutionally incapable of holding a job because of their lack of mental intellegence.

  Some of the degreed people did not have an iota of common sense and I wondered how they got so far in life! Then I realized that they had enough money to pay for everything they needed even if that paying meant that they had to hire someone to reset their GFI switch. (the electrical button on some outlets like in the kitchen or bathroom)

  Then the incapable people I've known always had enough to eat and their basic needs met from the meager wages they got from menial jobs or assistance. They (for the most part) were the most happy people!

  Intelligence is the ablility to survive to the extent that you are happy with what you got! (to the vernacular prude........"have")

  Hey.................

  Like it is said...........the best cure is prevention. DON'T DRINK. Now that is a dumb statement......especially by someone who has become totally disillusioned to anything good that there may be in life!

  But since I think I will start drinking again.........I will keep these "cures" on hand for reference for what I am about to do.

  Yes..........life surely does suck at times! The older I get.....the dumber and more vulnerable I get. Isn't education wonderful?

  Just be careful with the party life and with driving after the drinking. I wouldn't want to see anyone get a DUI or hurt someone else because of the booze.

  Embarressing Moment!!!

  well, i had my most embarressing moment in my life so far this last friday night.. after having a talk with the boss about morale, i had arranged a bowling night for work.

  i arranged for us all to have 2 games of ten pin bowling, plus food for 9.99 each.

  we got a bottle of champagne and 10 behind the bar aswell .

  My most embarassing moment was at a District Convention back about 1975-76 at one of the large stadiums. (back when there was still food to be purchased) Remember the pudding that was sold at them?

  I was wearing light tan pants with a sportscoat. Someone (probably myself or my my little daughter) put the chocolate pudding lid on my seat. I did not see it and sat in it. Well...........it looked like I pooped myself. Everyone was laughing but me!

  good thing the convention that year was in my home city so I left and went home to change. Came back about 2 hours later with dark pants.

  They came by today

  so my wife is standing at the door, waiting for me to finish my morning ablutions so that we can go out, and she asks me to go to the door.

  i met a very friendly couple who wanted to talk to me about jehovah.

  i informed them that i was raised as a jehovah's witness and that i had been disfellowshipped for about (and i had to think about this) five years now.. and the dude was offended by my existence.

  Good job Czar,

  I'm proud of you for keeping your cool. That showed 'em that we all don't go insane after leaving. Seems that there are enough "insane" ones inside.......and they want to "teach" us?

  Geesh.......hasn't been a knock on my door or a phone call for quite some time now. I wonder if someone has seen my picture on JWD? Which reminds me. I need to get my new avitar going.

  every so often, i read that some posters have such contempt for jehovah's witnesses, that they are happy when they hear that one died or suffered from cancer or some other disease or tragedy.

  they rationalize things by saying, "jws are so corrupt that getting rid of them in any way is good!".

  or, "i'm glad that this bad thing happened to them.

  Who is going to admit that they enjoy seeing JW's suffer? NOBODY. If they do, they need to be hospitalized. I can't believe that I even need to clarify that.

  Without anger covered eyes.........I now understand. (kicking myself in the "ass" for being an "ass")

  But not to Farkels post ! (hey....if he is allowed to dis anyone........then he can be dissed too!)

  Simon,

  This forum is your baby and I appreciate what you have done and are doing to keep it going.........BUT

  You deleted Atilla's account for making a statement very similar to what Shamus just posted.

  Does Shamus and others have preferential status in what is allowed to be posted?

  No offense.....but if you delete my account........so be it!

  I hope jwd continues to be a help to all who are searching for answers without getting the verbal diarhea of a few.

  I was going to make (according to my limited ability) a sensible reply to this question until I got to Shamus and Farkels reply.

  Having been the victim of both of their scathing "verbal beheading" (just for a humorous post and giving MY opinion to a question that was posted. ........all I can say is... (nah.I'd probably have my account deleted for saying it)

  Then again.......I might have my account deleted just for this reply.

  JWD sure does have a few assholes who think that they are enlightened and should be viewed as part of the elite class! Who the f**k told you two that you are important in the scheme of thing? And then there are those who think these two have real words of wisdom.

  Hey Stinky............

  I know what you mean. I've been home and alone for two weeks now and have been on a total carbohydrate binge.......pizza, hoagies, baked goods and especially bagels. A garlic bagel with a breakfast of fried potatoes, eggs and sausage. A bagel sandwich for lunch. A bagel with chili for dinner. Seems I can't get enough even though my belt is straining!

  I need to chill and think about why I'm doing this. Guess emotions and stress still affect an "Old Dude."

  If I should encounter them while at the mall or something like that, I have to leave asap to keep from being in violation of the order.

  So then.....this could mean that you can still picket her KH before the meetings and as soon as they drive up, you can leave and not be in violation of the restraining order.
