  The witness gifts of mercy are........wait for it...........field service. Now I know some enjoyed it but for the majority they hated every second, so why did they do it, even more than was required = 10 hours) Because it salved thier conscience, they had done their hour or bit for humanity.

  Most JWs know they should be doing charitable works, and some do.

  And as for the trumpet blasting, how much more in your face can you get with car loads of Jws swarming on a territory. Saying "here we are, while your all in bed tut tut, look how dedicated and christian we all are "

  GIVE A GOOD WITNESS---------------

  "give a good witness" today i made an effort to wave to my neighbour, not because i particularly wanted to or like him, but had a feeling i needed to "prove how nice i was or to give a good witness" .

  habits die hard, this follows on from the guilt thread.

  i still feel that *i put on a front, i cant be myself, in case i do or say something that could bring reproach, what the hell on i dont know i havent been to a meeting for over a year no one here knows i was a witness.

  I am generally a ppl pleaser, and maybe thats what got me in the org all those years ago !

  Obviously we want ppl to think we are nice, but it really bothers me if I think they dont. On the other hand I never let anyone get too close.

  Its going to take a long time before I find out if im doing things cos I want to or because im conditioned to.

  With all these terrorist activities lately its hard not to think that everthing and everone is evil. The WT thrive on bad news

  I still have nightmares and still think "what if they are right" but we must concentrate on the good that ppl do in the face of adversity

  during the bombings in london, police and hospital staff did a fantastic job, we must remember that the majority of ppl are good its the minority that cause the rest problems.

  So whats going on, when do I say or do what I feel., instead of this facade or do "ordinary" ppl go through this

  I want to tell all my new friends "I was in a cult for 20 of my adult years " but they wouldnt understand

  Ive just got to come to terms with the fact that if I let my guard down, ill be viewed as odd, or strange, so ill give a good witness for me

  Did You Usually Feel Guilty While A JW?

  my 79 year old mom that has every ailment known to man was going to the bookstudy this afternoon because she felt "guilty" for not going the last couple of meetings due to illness.

  i told her it was 95 degrees outside and asked her not to go since she has difficulty breathing.

  she decided to do it anyway.

  I was caught short while posting, my daughter phoned me, ahhhhhhh guilt.

  Sassy my main feeling of guilt is that my daughter is still in and my kids missed a childhood they deserved

  Sometimes my husband asks me when he gets home "what have you been feeling guilty about today" Its a standing joke

  New J.W. strategy? I need to vent !!!

  some of you know i have a daughter and son-in-law that is involved with the j.w.

  cult.. this is because of the influence brought about from my daughters aunt, who is a full blown (brainwashed) j.w.

  cult member, and her family, too.. my daughter always loved her aunt, even though she was in the cult, which is fine with us.

  You need to talk to her and maybe show her this site, Id try and discourage her meeting her aunt, I dont care if she is "family'" whats more important

  Im telling you now, she WILL have set her sites on your other daughter, she WILL feel it is her duty to do so.

  If someone had, got one child in this cult there is no way id let her have another one. And im someone who got reintroduced half my family into it, please dont let it happen take steps NOW !!!!
