  a pioneer sister just emailed me a new experience this morning.

  i just wanted to post is to see if anyone recognized it as a generic jw experience or if it was genuine.

  how are things...i hope all is well with each one of you.

  Now Defd could be in be in bed (time difference) but what is nbsp that he added to my post

  Lets be real we`r nt we totally ineffective, bored and didnt really believe what we said.

  I was, if someone showed an interest I thought"Oh no, dont do it dont have a study" And I knew nothing about the scandles. bUT i KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG

  Honestly, i was brought up in it............came back when I was an adult. Its NOT THE "TRUTH"

  National average..

  i was thinking it is impossible to keep with the national average.. if everyone put in a minimum of 15 hrs a month you still would not be putting in the national average, because it would just be higher.. and any one who puts in more then 15 hrs just brings up the medium hours.. i dont know if they compute pioneer houres into the national average.. but if they do i wouldnt be surprised..

  I put in an average of 20 hours a month, so my husband got away with a low average. He gave good talks and didnt take any BS from the elders and was liked by most of the cong, he was requested to give talks ouside the territory so they left him alone

  But by god where were we treated badly when he saw the TRUTH, so we did pay

  i gave my wife a list of the chronology of kings and laid it out like alleymom's kiss method - only i didn't actually mark the year 586 ... i wanted her to at least count out the years.. my wife is away teaching a class right now.

  so it is just me and the kids at home.

  anyways, i came home today and she had been doing a lot of research.

  If we were living in the time of the end dont you think this experience would be happening every day. to all the JWs. It just goes to show how blinkered we all where.

  Its so rare to get a return visit never mind a bible study that when you do get one its E-mailed to EVERYONE, sad.

  Extremists and kids.

  there's no question that adult extremists target easily influence kids to carry out horrible acts, such as suicide bombings, and encourage these kids to become "martyrs".

  the jw church is no different, encouraging their kids to be martyrs like was done in this magazine : .

  these kids, usually in their early teens are obviously taken advantage of by the church.. what i'm wondering is, has anyone done a published study regarding the effects of extremism on kids and how they are mentally unprepared and vulnerable to make the desicions they are?.

  I remember that mag when it came out and I cringed. But then I cringed at most of what was in the mags month after month.

  Most JWs do if they are honest, but they are trapped in a mind set, that the WT is always right

  When that veil is finally lifted from your eyes, im astounded to what I put up with for 20 years as an adult.

  As its been mentioned here before if you would sacrifice your own children, what else would you do????
