Parent sleeping with teenagers

an ex brother and i were talking recently and he recounted a bizarre story.

he too left the witneys some years ago, got a divorce, and the two children (both boys) decided to stay with his wife since she was still a jw.. one of his boys (never baptized a jw) confided in him not long ago about the sleeping arrangements after he left.

she told the boys that she was feeling depressed and lonely because of the divorce and turmoil that their apostate father had caused her and asked them (ages 15 and 16) to each alternate and sleep with her every other night.. it took lots of courage for this son to talk to his father about it since he wanted it off his chest.

My husband spent a lot of time away on business and my kids (boy and girl) would often ask "mummy can I sleep in your bed tonight" Id reply "bog off , I want this bed all to myself "

No honestly, when I had a nightmare one night ( its was terrifing, monk with an axe,,,,,,,,) anyway, I went and got my 13 year old son, daughter was away too! and got him in my bed I was really scared, but It did feel uncomfortable and we had a big gap.........

Im not a very touchy feely mum anyway, so no I wouldnt have done this, but if nothing happened, id tell his son to get over it ........really I would

Weve been fading successfully for 18 months, we moved far away which helped but we have a problem when family want to come and stay and want to go to "our new KH" we ve got round it the last few times but I dont know how long we can keep it up !!!!!!!!

my mother, a witness, is at her dc in cleveland this very moment as i type.

i spoke with her on the phone a few days ago as she was preparing to travel and so by coincidence the topic came up in conversation.

now, she doesnt know exactly why i stopped serving the tower, as we live along a dont ask, dont tell policy, and other than the fact that each and every time we talk there is a gigantic elephant on party-line with us, that otherwise works just swell.

Sounds like she does want to keep in contact with you, so dont rock the boat.

Im fading (although my family dont know) have tell them sooner or later LOL Anyway its me who stopped talking religion.

i have read your posts and am suprised, shocked and disgusted at the fact you still are an active witness who goes to the meetings 70% of the time and at the same time go to apostefests and curse and talk bad about the truth.

dont you know that the bible said people like you would quietly slip in the congregation and subvert the faith of some?

are you not afraid of god and jesus?

Actually, im glad Defd is here on the forum, I enjoy his posts and I thinks it keeps us all in mind how the JWs think. Give him time I just KNOW he`ll come over to the dark side LOL

At least hes got a sense of humour and he does recognize some of the wrong and unscriptual things the WT does.

More fluff, how many remotes does it take to watch TV?

i have 3 here, counting the one for the xbox dvd.

one for the cable box, and another for the tv because it's a dish network flatscreen and they don't share all the codes with the time warner remote.. i know...makes no sense.. .

I read CoC and in search of christian freedom, both were fantastic books and i started fading soon after reading them. I often wonder how many JWs would or have stayed in the borg after reading those books ?

The question is how do you get them in´to the hands of family and friends still trapped in?

Extinguishing evil and pain

supposing that you were in god's position how would you deal with the basic issue of good and evil in the world, how would you deal with that part of mankind that refuse to stop hurting and harming their fellow humans and how would you finally extinguish evil and suffering?.

remember some people accuse god of being too soft and tolerent with evil doers while others accuse him of being too harsh and merciless.

a delicate balance is called for.

To be honest I would shout as loud as I could from heaven, telling EVERYONE to shut up and listen, then I would explain everything so there would be no misunderstanding, no interpretation and if ppl wanted to be good and serve God then they would. Properly the way he wants, if not then they will be sent packing with devil.

All this ridiculous speculation on who has the right religion is crazy. It has nothing to do with Justice, love or faith.For goodness sake if your up there God TELL US Why all this ridiculous cloak and diggers stuff.
