  Actually I was going to start a topic on this subject, I have been fading for over a year now and im finding it really difficult comming to terms with the fact that one day either my husband or I are going to die and one of us is going to be left!

  At the back of my mind I knew it wouldnt happen but I just felt it was like looking forward to a dream holiday, you never think it going to arrive but it does and thats how I felt about the new system.

  Ive become very morbid lately, aswell as enjoying my new freedom, I keep thinking when my aged parents die thats it. Its really hard.

  Its not my own imortality that hurts me its for the ppl I love.

  i've been inactive for many years, but last march an elder came over to invite me to the memorial.

  after that he came back and offered a bible study, which i didn't want but stupidly i accepted because i felt kind of pressured, thinking that if i didn't i would be maybe df'd for some reason.

  so, i studied about half of the book with the elder, once a week, and went to a few meetings.

  Since my last meeting over a year ago Iv had 3 calls from 2 sisters and 1 call from our book study elder inviting us to the memorial, im so glad no one has made a big effort. It must be really hard trying to fade if they pursue you

  What Motivates YOU to Post Here?

  defd has said he will leave and it caused me reflect on how he was treated.

  are we happy with the way we responded when he tried to defend his faith?

  this and comments about my own attitude have caused me to review my motive for the posts i make.. when i first started posting here i was thoughtful and sincere as were most of the posters back then.

  What do you expect he was a active witness! Werent you the same when you were in, I know I was, but I believe he started to agree with things being said.

  He diagreed with shunning, he said he was having trouble in his KH and was considering not going there, because of the way some of the "FREINDS" were treated. This was a good opportunity for us to show how supportive we are compared to those in his hall. Even if he was snide or rude, he was too me once, I just ignored it and continued to reply to him. I think he was struggling and was sad with the org, he said it many times, he just felt he needed to defend Jehovahs name.

  We also dont know how many JWs lurk here, reading posts and seeing how ppl are treated.

  I agree with Ladylee and I think he was shouted down and attacked by some,

  I post here because I wandered on this site and realized there were others out there that felt as I did.

  Storing of information on 'Studies'.

  could anyone tell me if the witnesses still hand in and complete study reports giving the name and address of the person they study with, what they are studying and a remarks commenting on the 'study'?

  i would also like to know who gets hold of this information, where it is stored and does it get as far as that country's bethel or all the way to brooklyn?.

  When the data information law came in I cant remember which year, you werent allowed to fill in any forms, with ppl details, so along with the S-8 forms these forms where also discontinued.

  I wonder how much the R&F really are unsatisfied ! We all know there are many who are having problems but thats always been the case. They just blame satan !

  On the subject of the changed generation, unfortunately many older ones didnt understand it and still believe the old teaching, and the younger ones, say in their twenties dont even know about the change or significance of it since they would have only been 10 years ongoing.

  If they can get away with 1975 they can get away with anything

  Reform if any is a long way off in the future

  WHAT DID YOU THINK OF APOSTATES ?????????+

  when you were still in the org, did you ever wonder what the apostates were saying?

  the society would just say lies and half truths.i always assumed it was about the trinity, and other religious stuff.

  i thought they were exjws who had become born agains !.

  I never understood why they just didnt leave us alone. I now know why !!!!

  I remember a comment was made at the KH about an ex sister who was sueing the WT, some were schoffing, I was just dumbfounded WHY was she doing it !!!!!!!!!!!!

  Its only now I realize that she was fighting the shunning and the terrible consquences of it.

  i have been talking to a few people here privately and i came to the decision that i will not post anymore here.

  those few individuals i talked to were nice and the way they were treated by the "friends" was all too familiar to me and it makes me truely sad.

  i also see that some on here are not so nice.

  I hope you read all these replies and reconsider your decision to leave. I for one like having you here and enjoy your posts. And I think youll agree most ppl want you to stay ( they like you too really )

  One thing I must say, you mentioned that you are thinking of leaving your now current KH. You must be having trouble there. Please remember it doesnt matter which KHs you attend they are all the same, the elders are the same the ppl are same, the lack of love and problems you may be experiencing will happen where ever you go.

  Which meetings did you hate the most?

  out of the 5 weekly meetings, here are the ones i hated the most.. in order.

  1. theocratic ministry school ( i hated speaking in public) got me so nervous.. 2. service meeting ( too much crap and statistics and presentations).

  3. the book study ( just a waist of time ).

  The only apostates I saw were a bit odd, I never saw any banners with messages on them. I didnt know about ANY scandels

  And I didnt realize there were so many

  So what were your ideas about apostates before YOU became one
