  WHAT would YOU do? Teen issues.....

  my oldest daughter is a handful.

  she has a mouth that just doesn't seem to stop and today we got into it .....again.. well, after a bunch of crap coming out of her mouth, i smacked her on the arm and told her to quit the talking to me that way.. then, it got worse when she kicked me.

  geez, how would you have dealt with this kind of thing.. i told her i'm going to send her to a camp this summer where they put her on a giant kite (parasailing) and make her fly off a cliff.

  This is so hard............but it will pass !!

  Dont get into verbal fights walk away ignore her, if you dont they will only escalate and NEVER hit her. If you do she will retaliate, her bravado will make her even if she doesnt want ot.

  I used to just stop being nice, I would stop talking (if she notices) My hubby stopped speaking to my son for a week he was so upset with him, when I asked my son to make it up he just stared at me , he hadnt even noticed !!!

  If you go quiet she may feel quilty..............................even so it will bring the level of anger in the house down. Im so sorry for you but it just normal for some teenagers to do this. You are very lucky if it doesnt happen to you.

  Which WT doctrines or belief is correct???

  considering that most if not all of the wt beliefs are bs......................do you think any of them are right?.

  i myself dont believe in hell fire, but foreverything else, the trinity imortality of the soul, the great apostacy or armageddon im still not 100 % sure.

  so which ones do you think the wt are spot on with ?.

  ............................it was announced that the new system wasnt coming for another 200 years.

  they have now made a calculation and it is absolutely definite its not coming in there life time.. there are 2 important points to remember..............1 you are supposed to worship god, not because you will get anything out of it for yourself but because he is the soverign of the universe.........2 i cant remember but im sure there are 2. so how many would stay.

  i think most would leave eventually, what would be the point, i believe the majority only stay because they are terrified of armageddon.

  hello all, just wanted to give an update..... i'm no longer engaged, so that's one less thing that's holding me back from leaving the org.

  don't get me wrong, i do hate we had to end it and i do love her very much.

  this has been quite hard for me.

  I asked my other family members about it and they didnt know anything about it, we all thought a letter had been read out announcing it

  Fading is making me WT obsessed......................

  because i still want my family to speak to me, i decided to fade.

  it was quite easy to do, i dont live near them so there was problem with meetings and field service.. the problem now is , after 3 years of fading, it having quite a detrimental effect on me.

  i have said things to my family about the child abuse stuff , lack of love that sort of thing and they realize i dont go to meetings anymore but because i just cant leave it alone or keep my mouth shut, i end up talking about the org to them when i promise my self not to.

  You are so right, no one talked in a "spirtual" way when I was in, not even me, Oh I would talk and talk about armageddon or the new system but never about deeper issues. So now I have "accurate " knowledge about the WT I want to talk about it all the time

  Im going to have to have more self control...................and keep my mouth shut.

  Its just when something comes up , maybe talking about a mutual friend or a meeting or the elders its hard not to say whats on your mind

  For an example my mother is always going on how wonderful the elders are and if my sisters disagree she says the WT will sort it out. I then say its by the WT direction that the elders do and say these things and then it starts the ball rolling.

  Maybe I should give this board a break for a while. Get back to a bit of normalcy and get the borg into perspective. I dont come here as often as I used too but maybe I should not come here for say a month
