There was a time when I thought that the future of our believe was: more education and educated JW's that would lead to an other kind of believe & theology. But now I am out of that dream. No reform anymore. This study places our believe back in time. Why? Our leaders are becoming younger (new members of GB). The Society uses high educated men for the organisation: accountants, law-specialist etc. computer-specialists, History-research, public relations etc etc. We - the rank and file - JW's are not all blind to see that this WT is very wrong.

As an - active thinking and not so active preaching - JW, I have to reject this article of the watchtower strongly.
I posted earlyer that you have to beware wearing glasses / spectacles in the kingdomhall, because it shows you can read. Didn't we learn from the 70's?
Sorry, I have much shame about this watchtower-article and it shows that the writers are still fundamental and not going in the direction of any reform of WTS doctrine.

after the mid afternoon song, bro pellechia reads the accounts report.. the circuit assembly account had a surplus of $3,000, the account balance was $47,000.

A few years ago, at our assembly day, our CO told us the next line in his assignment (like Pellechia): "we have a parking-lot outside with some gates. If there is no money enough at the end of this day, we will not unlock the gates. So you have got a problem then! So, be wise".

Beware everyone of using spectacles/glasses in the Kingdom Hall. It proves you can read. If you can read, you could be having Higher Education, and if you got Higher Education you could be able to think.
We have had this kind of situations more in history!

Thanx for the interesting post. In our local congregation there is someone who has no bible-studie, does not go to the field, is never baptised, but discribes himself as an real JW. Maybe there are more semi-JW's like him all over the world. By the way, maybe he is more JW then me.
