How long will we accept this kind of changes with dry eyes in our congregation? This must be stopped. What will we believe in 10 years from now? The GB plays the game as joker.

friends,.
i just confirmed the "generation" change from another forum in portuguese.
the following is the text in portuguese:.

tonight i did wake up and i knew it!
the reason for splitting up the watchtower editions in a public and a study version.
the reason is the same as for splitting up the watchtower society in ccjw, kingdom support, inc, religious order of jw (and local convention planning organisations, read the anderson-files about having no agents everywhere), just juridical!

What do I mean: it will not take long before the first juridical cases against JWD and other forums go out only for providing the study edition of the Watchtower, because the copyright. It is not for the public anymore, so the lawyers and juridical advisors at Paterson will act soon. Just wait.

i received my copy of barbara andersons cd paedophilia in an american religion a month or two ago, and i have been reading through it since.. what follows, although i have called this a review, is in no sense a scholarly consideration of the legal merits of the cases described, a task for which i am wholly unqualified.
these are, rather, my subjective reflections on the material presented, the impressions i gathered while reading the legal filings, my untrained, common-man appraisal of the cases laid out in those documents.
ill also admit to being swayed by tone of voice adopted, and to using my own common-sense yardstick in determining the reasonableness of the statements made, the responses given and the arguments put forward.
Thanx!
When I read the Anderson files I was thinking about The Firm of Grisham.
Ozner, the Fader.
the worst part of the "1995 generation change"- implementation was for me personaly the watchtower study-article defining the new (or changed) doctrine.
the article mentioned that rank & file witness "thought" that the generation was related to 1914 because they want it so.
it hurted me deeply and i am still agry (12 years later!)..
Dansk & other friends, this is one of the parts of the text in the november 1 edition of the WT 1995:
"6 Not only must we pay attention to the inspired prophecies concerning these final days of a wicked system but we must anchor our faith primarily on the precious sacrifice of Christ Jesus and God's marvelous promises based thereon. (Hebrews 6:17-19; 9:14; 1 Peter 1:18, 19; 2 Peter 1:16-19) Eager to see the end of this evil system, Jehovah's people have at times speculated about the time when the "great tribulation" would break out, even tying this to calculations of what is the lifetime of a generation since 1914. However, we "bring a heart of wisdom in," not by speculating about how many years or days make up a generation, but by thinking about how we "count our days" in bringing joyful praise to Jehovah. (Psalm 90:12) Rather than provide a rule for measuring time, the term "generation" as used by Jesus refers principally to contemporary people of a certain historical period, with their identifying characteristics." - end of text.
The blame is pointed out at "Jehovah's people", (end of second line). We made the calculations, we speculated and we defined the lenght of the generation.
I know, this will go on for ever. But there comes a time that the now very quet group of higher educated witnesses (who are not comfortable with the current issues - wtbts opinion about higher education, wtbts history fraud, organisational changes and finance held secret, focus on numbers and percentages, wtbts opinion on bible research, UN-case etc. etc) come in action. Our time will come.

The blame was pointed at the lower level: the simple JW in the congregation who was thinking that the generation was related to 1914. We are Ha'aretz isn't it? People of the land...
I'm wondering if we are getting the blame again. Because we think (at this moment) that the generation is not related to 1914 and we think that the generation is related to all people living in the last days.
Long live the Ha'aretz...

Thanx for sharing this information so early (are you working at bethel portugal?). It looks like the 70's.
with all of the changes regarding the 1935 closing of the heavenly calling that jw's taught for over 70 years what will be the next thing to go in their doctrinal system.
will they one day say"we were wrong the earth is going to burn up and all christians will go to heaven".
russell was right after all and yes the "great crowd" will indeed go to heaven.nothing suprises me anymore with the jw's.
This was the first I thought about when I read the may 1, 2007 QFR. It can be also like this: maybe armagedon has taken place! Invissible, and are we now living in the 1000 years behind.

"even during leisure time , such as when going out to eat after the programme , we should dress as befits ministers... and should not wear such clothing as jeans , shorts or t-shirts.
what a witness this will give to the community.".
Just like the first Christians! They also wear costumes and ties the whole day, just like salespeople, and not like missionary's.
But: do you think that young JW will listen to this counsel? There is a reason why this is said every year: because they don't listen anymore!
having read posts over the last few months, i have come to the conclusion that there must be alot of 'active' jw's who still regularly attend meetings/field service etc.. don't you feel that by posting your many and varied topics, usually complaining/disagreeing with the wbts, that you are being hypocritical?
when you post your information, obtained sometimes in an questionable manner, doesn't it make you question your own underhanded actions?.
you converse with many on this forum who are disfellowshipped/dissasociated, yet if you knew who these ones were, face to face, you would not give them the time of day!
I am still active, but do also feel good to read the other side of our religion.
i'm down to 1 meeting per week and that is even becoming difficult to attend.i read blondie's excellent reviews of the weekly watchtower study and that keeps my sanity when reading the weekly study.
yesterday,i walked out in the middle of the study and went home because of some comments that were made after the reading of paragraph 5.here is blondie's study article and one comment that was made at the meeting.. .
clearly, jesus was concerned that his followers too could become distracted by satan's world, even to the point that they might "return to the things behind.
After the watchtower-study I have had a heated discussion with my partner also. I will not give you to much details, but speaking about this kind of history-fraud on a normal way seems not possible. I am happy to read I am not the only one...
