last night my mate and i read three articles from the july 8th awake on adolescence & puberty.
i vasilated between laughing my ass off and being apalled.
the first article is only a one page intro to the next two articles, it is entitled, the joys and challanges of adolescence it basically says that we are "living in critical times hard to deal with"(2tim 3:1) so this adds to the pressures on youths.
I can imagine the article is as goofy as the Young People Ask book..I still have it and I read it when I want a good laugh.
WTS should get their heads out of their 90 year old butts and realize how hard it is, for teenagers to be differant than their peers.

today was canada day , birth of our nation way back on july 1st, 1867, and the us will celebrate theirs on july 4th.. i was out and about today, and i just noticed how happy and proud people seemed to be today, i guess i never really noticed it other years.. what was the watchtowers big deal, my god, cant support or have any fun regarding the government.. i am totally embarrassed, about the way i felt about my country, not taking part, not saluting the flag, not voting.
we all live in a great country, free from so many problems on this planet, and whats wrong with saying thank you, one day of the year.. well, i guess i am a truly patriotic person now, proud of my country and those who defend it.. happy birthday canada !!!!!!!!!!!.

I learned to love Christmas and I learned to love this country! So much so, that I joined a politcal party three years back. I am considering running for local office here in the next couple of years.
I know this country is not perfect, but were else can you agree and disagree so openly? People come here because it offers a good life for those who try...an opportunity unparalled in the world. I know that goes equal with our close friend Canada.

What explanation does the WT give for this? Does it refer to the nations that currently exsist?
the recent superstition thread got me to thinking.
growing up i was terrified of "demons".
sometimes when we would have witness gatherings they would start in to "demon" stories.
My mother-in-law's house is haunted by a little old man who used to live there. To boot, she lives next to a cemetary in the South. My wife and I have always had great success when we have used the Ouija board there. Seriously, it does move and respond..My "supposed" demon experience.

In my MIND, I had some relationships with married sisters. Included were some older, elders wifes..mmm mmm some hoties!
according to a jw witness friend of mine it is not always necessary to go to the elders to confess, not even the more serious sins such as immorality.. she said the only reason one would go to the elders is if they feel they no longer have jehovah's favor.
the elders are there to help them see they can still be loved by jehovah.. is she on crack!
i had a long discussion with her yesterday about religion and jws.
Howard Stern had this stipper on his show. She claimed to have been a df'd Witness. She told him about confessing her sins to the elders in the JC. She mentioned about all the juicy details she had to reveal. I admit it was getting hot for me, too. Finally, Howard concluded
" I want to be an elder!"
the society said in past issues of the watchtower that reading "apostate" literature is just as bad as reading pornography,here is where a double standard comes into play.a person can't be disfellowshipped for reading pornography,but can for reading other literature.i don't get that.also they claim that music is a conscience matter,yet how long could a brother or sister listen to a great gospel tape or cd before being disfellowshipped?if a man grew a beard you think that they would be treated well at the kingdom hall?one last thing,if the society wasnt promoting the 1975 date,and never said it,then why were there not loads of disfellowshippings before the failed date for apostasy by promoting a false date?these are just a few of the many double standards that i have observed.god bless you all.
They encourage people to investigate their own religion..but wetnoses better not investigate their own..
it's old news that the watchtower bible and tract society has been trying to convert as many spanish speaking people as possible.
i remember how the watchtower gradually added more and more mexican people into their illustrations as the years went on.

Being half Hispanic, I can see the Society feeding on them. The Catholic Church is empty, they are friendly people..and they are now the top minority group...dog di#kers in NYC....we are hispanic.. not pigs out to slaughter..
