whats the best memorial you DID NOT attend?

every body has a thread about r u attending the memorial or whats gon happen who's gon partake...what i want to know whats the best memorial that you missed or skipped?.

for me it was the first memorial i missed.

i stopped going to the hal in 04 but, got conned into going to the memorial in 05. in 06 i wasn't having any of it.

posts on fluff are fun...i admit.. posts knocking jws are therapy...i know.. posts revealing wt lies, deception, etc...well, they help those who are still in.. but...... how come no one wants to do any grass roots, writing letters, etc.

to the governments about the jws?

ireland is about to set national policy for its hospitals and doctors on how to handle jehovah's witness patients.

St. Ann wrote such a great letter, that it would be hard to do one better. Making copies wouldn't be good at all, either.

Many people here, (including myself) are (I'm assuming) not good at expressing themselves on paper, so it wouldn't help your cause. If a letter isn't written in a manner in which it helps the cause, it can do more harm than good.

I do feel for you, and do hope many people write in and help. However, like I said, not everybody can do this. We all do our "own thing" to help people stuck in the borg, or thinking about joining it.

empty nest now...when did you sell/downsize your home?

was prob going to stay here a bit longer as i love this place.....but way more than i need, and the payment bites.........with sucky economy it prob makes more sense to sell.........or else i need to have a few more kids!!!

(or at least put forth the effort for more!)................oompa.

plus....i will not be jobless i hope...but income about to hit the shitters...........

I think I'd just stay put for now, until the economy starts to show a real upturn. The reason I say this is because suppose you DO lose your job? You may have to move to another city to get a good job. THAT would be the time to sell your house and find another one.

For right now, don't make waves. (My opinion).

editted to add....Can you rent a room out? It will give you extra money to help with the mortgage.
