troll, you are so right. it has also been documented by various religions and historical documents, that earth is flat, and the sun moves around earth. and little trolls living in scandinavia. i don't get why noone believes it, when there's such great evidence!
I am, of course, in camp 1. I despair that there is a camp 2, but at least I live in Europe where they're very rare.
well, living in europe too, i consider both evolution and creation equally. in other words: both camps have their arguments, both may be right and both may be wrong. and: they are not the only existing "camps".

you always talk about the bible creation story... there's not only the choice between evolution and bible.
there's the possibility of evolution.
there's the possibility of creation, the bible version.
there's the possibility of creation, NOT the bible version.
there's even the possibility of a creator using evolution.
or creators (plural).
there are probably even other philosophical (evolution-theory is nothing else) attempts to explain the origins of life/earth/universe/what not.
those are all possibilities. none is proven by facts. and evidence is the same for evolution as for creation. -

evolution of life sounds pretty reasonable, however, not any more reasonable than creation of every single creature. if a mouse can evolutionize to a cat, there could also be that invisible guy who created both.
as to the origin of the universe... who initiated the big bang? where was the energy from? and if that invisible guy exists, where the heck is he from?
there are questions that one just cannot answer. i always have to laugh when "scientifics" tell us, "there are aproximately ... billion galaxies in this universe". yeah, right. and how did you count them when you don't even know where the universe starts and where it ends? and what does the end of the universe look like? -

What day was man created?
by Gadget inaccording to the bibles account of creation, there seems to be a contridiction as to when man was created.
the theory accepted by most people i've spoken to is that, according to gen 2:7, 7 and jehovah god proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul, stating that man was created on the seventh creative day.. however, genesis 1:27 states that on the 6th creative day, 27 and god proceeded to create the man in his image, in god?s image he created him; male and female he created them.. so were man created on the 6th or 7th creative day?
and if god created man on the 7th day, then later created woman from man why does the bible state that he created man and woman at the same time on the 6th day?

how many bible canons do exist? who decided over the inclusion and exclusion of every single book?
do we have to follow every commandment that jesus gave us? did you already "sell everything you own, give it to the poor and follow" jesus? if this commandment is not to be taken that seriously, does this also apply to the preaching-work?
did you ever notice, that if adam and eve wouldn't have sinned, you would have never been born? thus, are you glad that adam and eve sinned? are you thankful for that?
which day/hour was jesus executed? compare the synoptic accounts with the john gospel. -

The 144,000-A club for Men Only???
by ohiocowboy ini was just reading some passages out of the new world translation, and stumbled upon something very interesting.
we all know rev 14:1, which numbers the 144,000, but reading the scriptures after that i noticed verse 4 which states that "these are the ones that did not defile themselves with women; in fact, they are virgins".
this seems to show that the 144,000 would be comprised of virgin men.
