Perhaps then he is talking about a ""true"" god before/after?
:-)
that doesn't matter either, because it sais there was "NO" god created before him, neither true nor false. the point is, that this can be interpreted as god having a beginning and an end. because there is no before and after in eternity. where "eternity" is a special topic anyway, because the biblical "forever" doesn't necessarily mean forever at all.
forever? for ever? for ever ever?

by candidlynuts in.
i watched it last night..... ya know.......... it took place over 1000 yrs after christ, and here we are 1000 yrs later... all the centuries of faith and dying "for god" or in the name "of god" whichever religion you may be and we're supposed to believe that jesus is coming again?
um i might be an awful person for having such thoughts but hey jesus, your and mohammeds last visits caused a shitload of problems on the earth, if you come again, be better preprared this time k?

I dont think that is what the scripture is implying as in "time".
the context seems to refer to time though. because it's talking about before and after. it wouldn't make sense if god's would be formed physically before him and after him... -

Why have you rejected all forms of faith?
by AlmostAtheist init seems that when a person leaves jw's, there's just no telling where he'll end up spiritually.
christian, jew, pagan, jamesthomasism -- i dare say every faith is represented among us.. but there are those that reject faith altogether.
they are often accused of letting the watchtower steal god from them, or throwing the baby out with the bath.. are you one those that rejected faith altogether after your exit?

i find the "do you believe in love" thing funny. and how it's used to make faith appear more rational.
someone does not "believe" in love, someone loves or does not love and sees other people love. thus everybody knows love exists.
and someone does not believe in faith either, someone has faith or hasn't or sees other people have faith. thus faith also exists.
BUT that's got nothing whatsoever to do with if faith is somethin rational or not. it's a strawman. -

most religions do have a god... so when not believing in (a) god(s) or other invisible entities it won't make any sense joining such a religion.
i've been interested in some "religions" that don't have/require (a) god(s) though, like some forms of buddhism, taoism, confucianism, shamanism and whatever... but in the end they are all only of philosophical nature.
so why not simply stick with philosophy instead of religion? philosophy doesn't need all the demons that you get for free when joining a religion. -

Swimming with dolphins
by Black Sheep ini am really pissed off with myself that i didn't jump in the water with the dolphins.
i knew how cold the water was, as i had been in the day before.
if i had gone in i woudn't have been able to take photos though.

i've seen a report on therapies for handicapped/down syndrome children where all they did was swimming with the dolphins.
don't know how dolphins influence us humans, but some children that never spoke a word in their lives suddenly opened up and became interested in their environment. one child of four or five years finally started walking... incredible.
would really like to do try that.
