Mary--Perpetual Virgin?
by sinamongurl ini read an excerpt from the book of mary stating that she was a perpetual virgin....joseph was quite up in age and was a widower with children, but was a god-fearing man and so did not sleep with her and kept her chastity...the only reason she was married was because that was apparently the law back then....so "thru god" he was chosen to take care of mary and jesus....apparently he did not have a long life after raising jesus.
jesus was born in a cave and later when everyone was called to their birthplace...joseph, mary, and family all went to bethlehem...with no room in the inn they were in the stables but jesus was already born by then and quite possibly no longer an infant.
this is very interesting to me because i was taught that mary did not stay a virgin (jw teachings) cause the bible mentions that jesus had brothers and sister, but this very well could have been josephs children from a previous marriage.... the excerpt came from a book called "lost books of the bible" by rh value publishing.

there have been a number of important and exciting developments in the society during the first half of 2006. firstly, a large number of bethelites are being evicted (i wonder if the.

The vitriolic rhetoric towards apostates and higher education has increased in talks at conventions and in WT aticles.
has anyone wondered if the WT could be the anti-christ? because u know jehovah is the main god and jesus is secondary....any other religion i know has jesus primary....just a thought...

Did You Believe "The End" Was Going To Come In Your Lifetime?
by minimus inwhen the society came out in 1966 with the info that 6000 years of man's existence would come to an end by 1975, i thought it was a crock.
for 9 long years, all jws did was speculate about "when" the great tribulation was going to begin.
i always thought of jesus' words about "nobody knowing the day or the hour"----yet jehovah's witnesses figured it out?

sinamongurl
of course i did....i was a very faithful, spiritual witness.....10 years ago i thought it would come in 10 yrs....still not here yet.....but in my mind i still believe it is coming soon.....get scared when i think about it

Post your JW demon stories
by M.J. init seems that for jws, the demon thing is one of the few "eyewitness" confirmations of what the wts says.
there seems to be such an atmosphere of confirming testimonials that the jws relate back and forth to each other...but are they factual accounts or simply recycled "urban legends"?.
interestingly, the most dramatic demon stories are nearly always something that happened to someone else.. why is it that jws have seen more "demons" than anyone i've ever known in my life?

i had demon attacks when i was a jw.....and i was very spiritual and continually made sure that i didnt have certain objects in my possession....i always wondered what was going on....i wonder if being a jw makes u more susceptible to demon attacks, i dont know
i have only had 1 since im out.....sometimes its the house we live in not necessarily us

What do you think about the Yorkshire Ripper being a JW?
by dido inthe yorkshire ripper killed umpteen women and is a jw now.
if i was an active jw i wouldn`t like the thought of living with him forever, after the way he killed all those women.
what do you think about the fact that they have accepted him to the org?

darcy--
just be carefule that u r not trying to be a "witness" in name only just in case they might be right and can gain salvation.....cuz having a thinking mind will eventually end u up out of the organization
do u openly discuss ur "unorthodox" ideas with those in the cong, more specifically the elders?
just be really really careful if being df'd is not ur goal
