  Who has the best chance of defeating Bush in '04?

  i will be backing former vermont gov howard dean to run in '04.

  my reason: clinton was quoted recently as saying that "strong and wrong always beats weak and right".

  i remember during the run up to election in 2000 watching the bush vs. gore debates and thinking..i know gore is smarter but he comes across as weaker in debate.

Howard Dean MD (yes, he's a doctor too.) of all the Dems seems more capable of mopping the floor with Bush in one on one (BTW... they were both at Yale at the same time).

  be serious this is to win the minds of american voters not to polerize them against you.

  otherwise it's a plug for him.. i think that the one real weakness is unemployment in america.

  There have been a lot of new devlopments since this thread first started (i.e. all the fabricated "facts" and reports about supposed WMD's and the resultant scary "mushroom clouds" they would likely produce).

  Also, since this thread started Howard Dean has pulled out in front of the other 8 Democratic candidates in the Fundraising efforts (he collected more in the last quarter than anyone).

  you're 100% correct. I am also a known apostate/opposer of "the truth". Never disfellowshipped even though others have reported me for having birhtday parties, Christmas, etc. The cong must be puzzled over the fact that technically I am still in good standing. However I and my family are avoided like the plague.
