1. Having my son.
2. Leaving the JW's
3. Helping my wife leave the Borg too.
Hopefully, #2 & #3 will be replaced in the future with even greater things.
in another thread, i stated the three best things i ever did with my life, but i thought the topic would make a good thread.. what are the three best things you did in your life?.
mine are:.
third best: divorcing my first wife.
1. Having my son.
2. Leaving the JW's
3. Helping my wife leave the Borg too.

Have you ever been there? It's less than a 2hr drive for me. You should try it this summer. We go a lot during summer. In the winter though paradise for us is Bermuda, Jamaica, French Riviera...ever tried those places? Very attainable for me.

Is it any wonder then that most of the Elders are pompous, arrogant, self-righteous SOB's. The WTS is creating MONSTERS with this kind of rhetoric!
while doing some research, i came across a cnn.com article, nov. 18, 1998, about the jonestown massacre, and reflections 20 years after.
one subtopic, "paradise becomes a prison," caused flashbacks from my time in the tower.
towards the end, i felt like a prisoner serving time.

Coincidentally, look at this note i just emailed a friend:
"..there really is NO way to get through to them with critical information. That's why they are considered a cult.
The WTS always defends itself against that charge by saying that cults take people away to live on a compound or camp or something so that people from the outside can't get to them to try to get them out of the group. Then they say that 'we are not like that, JW's live in your community, they are your neighbours..' etc etc.
But mentally they are all in a camp with high walls. You can't get in, you can't get out. You get shot trying to get over the wall."
I was in their camp for 24 years.

That soooo SUCKS! right before your big move too. Must be SATAN the friggin' devil!
i was out last night with a jw but who is not attending.
he is in his early 30s, is on his second marriage but now separated.
i've known him for 15 yrs or so.
I went to college at age 26-29, right after the WTS changed it's policy on higher education. I was struggling at the time, knowing I had the "smarts" for a lot of jobs, but couldn't get a foot in the door for an interview. It was difficult at times, and I'm still paying back loans. But my income probably has tripled since then.
I was thinking of taking some more courses too..you're NEVER too old.
If you can dream it...you can do it. Sounds corny, but it's true.
If you knew the poverty I grew up with, you would never believe that I now own my own house, have 2 nice cars, feed 2 kids and a wife, all mostly on my income. I'm now 34 years old. So, do it! that's my 2 cents for you..
i need to ask you exjws something serious.. i have never been a jw thankfully because i have been given the ability to look before you leap.. (i'm sorry that many of you never had that chance its just that i .
heard that it was a "cult" so i decided to look into it).
i posted my gf is a jw (twice by mistake sorry please delete one).
Jerome,
I'm with Biggs (comments above) on this one. No offense for your earlier comments too, but I was also raised as a JW so didn't have much choice.
Finally at the age of 34 (last year), I read CofC - it will DEFINITELY have an impact on ANY witness that reads it with an open mind. This book (books) works, and has worked for thousands of people already. The key is giving it to her at the right time. You may need to prime her for it for a while first. As Biggs said, no JW will want to read this unless they are seriously doubting or disillusioned.
My hunch is that if she has you as a "worldly" boyfriend then she is already going against the Org so she may be ripe for your help at this time.
-Badwillie.
the good .
the continuing life experience by that of amazing.
good reading, my friend!.
Very disturbing. Especially that last piece. Makes me wonder why the guy was so distraught. did the JWs influence this woman to get the restraining order...was she in spiritual "endangerment"???
This is SICK!!!!!! BAN THE WTS!!!!
thanks for posting these Biggs.
