  I've been amused at the verbal warfare going on in my local newspaper. They have a column on Saturdays and Sundays where people can write in anonymously to say what they feel.

  Here is what someone wrote in a couple of weeks ago: It would be nice if those of you soliciting your religion would realize you are interrupting my day. If I want to talk with you I will invite you to my home. If you find my gate closed that means I don’t want visitors and if that gate has a sign on it reading, "No Solicitors," please accept that it does mean you!

  Here was the response the next week from a good dub: To the person who thought it would be nice if we would not come to their door with Bible messages. You may be forgetting that a lot of people have interest in the Bible and enjoy visiting with us about it. We are going door to door to find them, and, believe me, we do find them. Also we are doing our part to fulfill the prophecy at Matthew 24:14, which is a privilege. No soliciting involved at all. If you change your mind, let us know.

  get a list of kh's sold to churches?

  could we get a list going of kh's sold to churches or religious affiliated?

  the thread (which i can't find at the moment) about painters not taking jobs painting churches got me thinking of this.

  Although not sold to a church, I think it's ironic that the KH in Clifton, CO was sold to the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars.)

  I sing in a Barbershop Quartet. Any other singers ?

  my favorite stress management tool (besides being goofy with my kids) is singing in a barbershop quartet.

  just 4 voices...ringing harmonies....i know its old fashioned and sappy but i like it.. any other old..or young farts out there that sing barbershop....or other styles too?.

  how does music and being able to express yourself with it effect your life?.

  I was a Sweet Adeline for a few years. It was a lot of fun doing shows and going to competitions. It is very time consuming so I had to give it up when my mom got ill.

  Are you part of a chorus, too? I think men's quartets are awesome.

  well, according to his hometown's former city official, it may not have been bob dougherty's first attempt at claiming some toilet seat stick-down.

  dougherty's attorney, mark cohen, said this latest allegation "... doesn't make any sense".

  Well I obviously didn't read the story close enough the first time. I couldn't figure out how his butt got glued to a toilet seat FOR SALE at Home Depot. I didn't realize he was using the restroom.

  Need Advice / Experience w/ drug abuse

  i have a friend that was/is hooked on methamphetamine, not sure what eles,,,,,,,probably a little bit of other street drugs.. we are taking him to a pshc.

  doctor on thursday because he suffers from panic attacks as well.

  he has suffered with those for all of his life.

  Unfortunately, I have learned more about this drug than I ever wanted to know because I found out my husband was using. Claims he's been clean now for 6 months, but his mind is still totally a mess.

  Try this website for starters. http://sfjaye.freewebspace.com/custom2.html It's called How a Meth Addict Thinks and Feels. You'll probably have to copy the address because I'm computer illiterate. There's also a discussion board out there but I can't find the address right now.

  I go to NarAnon meetings. They're specifically for friends and family of drug users. They've helped a lot. In my group, everyone is there because of meth.

  I didn't know a thing about this stuff but I've gotten quite an education in the last 6 months. He claims he hasn't used since December but his mental attitude isn't getting any better. He went to Narcotics Anonymous a few times but that's it.

  This has to be the most vile, dangerous drug there is. He is certainly not the person I married and I doubt if he'll ever be the same.
