Interesting article, indeed, Metatron. Thank you. I agree with you on aging - I'd like to avoid it, too.
Snare - excellent explanation of DNA & aging. You'd make a great teacher if you ever get tired of being a doctor!

the above relates to one my interests, fighting the aging process (i've seen it and decided not to participate).
the really cool thing is that it ties together nearly every successful anti-aging intervention into one biological process.

2 broke girls is the worst show on tv.
the acting is terrible.. what show do you avoid??.

I love Glee, but it's partially because I love NipTuck, which was the same producers/directors. You have to understand where high school arts programs come from.
On the other hand, I hate the Office. I just don't get it.
and most reality TV is just obnoxious...
i am so tired of waking up without hope.
so tired of fighting one more day...i just want it to end as painless as possible.
i truly don't have the willpower or strength anymore..
Lois...all it takes is an email address linked with a paypal account to deposit money.
I know people hesitate to offer money because there have been people who have scammed this site before. Yet I know many freely offered cash to BBXB with no strings attached, and for what? A vague campaign against the WT? Why would help for one individual be any less important?
Perhaps help for individuals needs to have something more specific. In practical terms, would it help LouBelle if she knew her rent was covered for next month? Would it give her a much-needed boost to find a better living situation? I don't know. I"m just tossing out questions. LouBelle, what do you think we could do in a practical way that might help you start to feel less tired of life?
at the very moment i signed oni saw the quote related to demonic experiences next to the $600 question about the stones.. given my desire to increase efficiency i thought it might be good to combine the topics.. i am very dissapointed that i have never had a demonic experience.
the fact that i don't believe in demons may have impacted my lack of experience.
however, i would never spend $600 to seen any group or person - even if they were naked.. so, how about you?.
Why pay money when I could just go to a garage sale and buy something and then go home and fervently believe again like when I was a JW?
i can't believe the prices of concert tickets these days.
the rolling stones is starting their tour this year in los angeles tonight and some of the floor tickets are as high as $600!!!
they were in little rock back around 2005 or 2006 and the most expensive ticket back then for their show was $300.
ticket prices are ridiculous. EVen accounting for inflation - sorry. I saw many classic groups 20 years ago, and I did not have to pay the equivalent of a month's rent to do so.
Part of the problem, at least here in Canada is that we have a ticket monopoly and all the tickets are gone within minutes, only to appear on ticket resale sites at horribly jacked-up prices.
topic pages that is (not counting home page, active or subject pages).
holy crap, you lot like to talk and read a lot !.
we're currently getting about 1.8 million page views (across all pages) and ~ 150k unique visitors (275k visits in total) per month.. glad i have a plan to move things to the cloud soon!.

he is accused of performing "abortions" after the birth of live babies.
where does planned parenthood stand on this case?.

Arboles, I'm sorry, I think I'm confusing the issue a bit here with my questions. I wasn't referring to babies born alive after abortions, but making a general comment about viability of pre-term babies. Just because the technology exists to keep these babies alive doesn't mean it's ethically the right thing to do, since the vast majority have profound disabilities that impact quality of life. One article says that ethicists have concluded that babies born prior to 22 or 23 weeks should be left to die.

I've always struggled with the question of where do you draw the line? It's arbitrary, as James W says. As little as 30 or 40 years ago, I remember the cut off for saving a premature baby was around 30-32 weeks. So if a baby was aborted at that age it might have been alive, but not considered viable. Now we consider viability to be 23 weeks. If we could not "save" these very premature babies, would it still be considered wrong to abort them?
I'm trying to figure how to phrase this dilemma, but can't quite get my head around the right words, so I'm not sure if my point is clear.
has anybody here experienced a bonafide, real, true incident in whicy 'demons' actually interacted with you or did something 'supernatural' that left you convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that satan and his demons exist??.

Still Thinking: old eyes trick I use (with Firefox). ctrl+ a few times enlarges the page.
I've heard some creepy stories and experienced a few things that make me hesitate to completely discount the existence of "something". Having studied psychology, though, I have some understanding of brain chemistry. Many things can alter brain chemistry and there could be external factors, i.e. water supply, toxins in the air, that cause things like mass hallucinations.

I used to be 100 percent against abortion. I"ve come a long way. I now support my daughter when she aborted the child at 3 months that she conceived with the abusive asshole who tried to kill her.
But my first question, to James Woods. So you are going to set an arbitrary 4 months standard. What about the fetus at 3 months and 29 days? How can you differentiate?
My second question. This "doctor" was killing babies who were supposedly viable. What is viable has changed markedly in recent years. Yet, doctors are saving these supposedly viable babies and many end up severly disabled, with no quality of life, basically taxing the life out of the parents and placing a huge drain financially on society.
My third, back to James. Yes. I agree religion needs to stay out. But how do you decide on the limits of the human rights?
I'll toss in a fourth. Is it better to force a mother who desperately wants rid of that child to give birth or is it better to give her an out? I'm guessing many of this "doctors" patients were poor and unable to fathom raising a child.
So should the abortion laws be changed so that any fetus killing is sanctioned until the actual point of birth? Where do you draw the line?
