  I have been out some time, but as I undrstand it, they believe that the Genesis account of creation is literal, and the Earth is the only place where God made man "in his image".
  I think the discovery of aliens would pose many problems to their beliefs including the "ransom" for their would possibly still be perfect humans on other planets, God could have merely destroyed Adam without him producing a seed.
  Just as people used to believe the Earth was at the centre of the Solar System, so the Witnesses mistakenly believe the Earth is at the centre of the Universe.

  keeping a balance in what is allowed and what is not is very difficult and is more difficult if i have to take action against one person when i have let other things go by others.. it would help a lot if we could stop the personal attacks and some of the name calling & insults that are thrown about.

  i know personalities do and will clash but please disagree about the subjects being discussed and not get personal!.

  if you think someone is deliberately trying to cause arguments please do not respond to them as this is giving in to what they want.

  some people here seem pretty clued up on science, so can anyone explain:.

  does the fact that disorder increases with time (the entropy thermodynamic law), contradict the fact that there is order in chaos (the fact that an underlying order can be found in seemingly chaotic systems).. what goes up must come down

  A Few Questions

  hi, i've been lurking awhile and now i need some advice/answers to a couple of questions:.

  one of my co-workers is a jehovah's witness, and we have become pretty good "at work friends.

  " she doesn't push anything on anyone at work, but i knew that since we were getting to know each other pretty well there would probably come a time when she would "make her move" with the literature and whatnot.

  The Jehovahs Witnesses are quite used to people taking leaflets to keep them quiet and then never reading them. It may pay, in this case, to do nothing.
  However, if she does approach you on the matter (a return visit), I think you'll be forced at that stage to politely state you're not interested (something else they are used to).
  Bear in mind, that the org frowns upon any friendships with outsiders and this could affect which way the relationship goes in the long run.

  I found this on that site in response to the question "Where would you like to travel to in time?" It's got to be tounge in cheek!!!!
  

  I would have loved to be a fly on the wall of Rahab's house & the excitement as three strangers came to her house but knowing that that were the spys from Israel's camp, to hear of her faith and the love she showed towards her family, certainly a dynamic woman in her own rights.

  what about song 128 "Do More As The Nazarites Did"
  could be remixed as "Do More Drugs As Nazareth Did"

  song 106 "Lets Watch How We Walk"
  could be re-released as "Walk This Way" RUN DMC

  we could also change "We Thank you Jehovah" to "Thank you for the music" that abba classic.

  Anyone?
