  Although experts disagree about the cause of near death experience (i.e. endorphines or religious experience), one observation I made was that you never hear of bad experiences.
  For instance have you ever heard some one say: "As I crossed the boundary from life to death I felt shear pain to dreadful to describe and saw a tunnel of black with a devil standing at the end in flames weilding various torture implements." ?
  No, quite the opposite. The cause of these experiences may be controversial, but the fact they are universally peaceful and pleasant experiences with people feeling "high" and "surrounded by love" should be some consolation.

  a little girl who is part of my family has the habit of always holding on to people's ear lobs, mainly with persons who are close to her whether they are a relative or not?.

  what are the causes for this type of behavor?.

  Finding Old Friends

  just found a brilliant website for us brits - i think you have an equivalent in the us though.. .

  once you register, which is free and very easy, you enter the name of your old school, primary, secondary or both and it gives you details of kids you went to school with, what they did after they left, what job they are doing now, whether they got married and had kids, etc.

  one thing that always annoyed the heck out of me was so called famous witnesses.

  it really annoyed me that they could have a public life so contrary to the witness life we were supposed to be leading as witnesses.

  i got a kick out of an article michael jackson has about his experience as a witness youth and the sabbath and "pioneering".

  It's apparent to everyone (except the average Witness) that the DUBS change their interpretation of the bible to fit world events, ironicly while stating that only they have the correct interpretation.
  Although it may be a pass time for you to do this kind of research, I have to say I find it "a striving after the wind".
  As has previously been pointed out, the early bible students would be disfellowshipped for their beliefs today, and yet they fearlessly told people there was only one "ark".
  They change their beliefs regularly, through "the faithful and discreet slave class" as the light get's brighter. Yes, God reveals his secrets as and when required, as "food at the proper time", and that means revealing things after they occur and not before, and sometimes the beliefs change one way, then back again.
  And look what happens when they do reveal something before it occurs: 1975.

  Trust the Watchtower on blood?

  many jws, who say they refuse blood believing it is their own conscience alone and not that of the watchtower.

  yet when informed by hospital liason elders, that the "society" now leaves certain blood products down to their own conscience(meaning that you wont get expelled).

  inevitably will then accept this blood product, and consider it as new light a concession from god.. but ask: who's conscience is being exercised when this happens?.

  The organisation has always had a problem with telling people the REASONS for the actions they expect them to take.
  I always knew they were right about blood because of AIDS and various other diseases transmitted through blood transfusion and anyway, who needed blood? Some JW's were recovering quicker without it!!!
  And what about sex? Well I grew up with confused feelings (as most JW's do) about why we were'nt supposed to have sex outside of marriage. Was it because it was wrong and against God's law or was it as all the publications told you, it would lead to un-wanted pregnancies, broken families and a long list of strange diseases I'd never heard of.

  To presume you have a monopoly on the only path to God is denying Christ and grieving the spirit.
  To constantly examine world events and looking for signs is a searching after omens and is something evil.
  To have the literal blood of your own members on your hands through barbaric teachings is a disgusting thing.
  But to do all this in the name of Jehovah is blasphemous. You will be weighed in the balance and found wanting. Like white washed grave stones you appear bright and clean, but inside you are full of dead man's bones. You who appointed yourselves as judges will be judged and fury will come with a great rushing noise.

  New Technology New Laws (Bible?)

  new technology new laws (bible?).

  with the rather recent internet technology comes a bunch of new moral issues and new laws which need to be made to govern its use.. new laws governing the internet use would not make sense, if written 100 years ago in the past.. i think this nicely illustrates the fact that, the more we learn the more some things change.

  men are writing more and more laws as new issues come up, old issues also are re-examined and some old laws are discarded and more comprehensive new ones replace them.. the bibles 2 eye witnesses for a conviction was written, before photography, video, tape-recorders, or positive identification by fingerprints existed.

  Oh but there ARE laws about internet use in the bible, well, there must be because the Governing Body says to keep away.
  For years they have discouraged their members from taking on a good education or pursuing a career, and now they warn their members to keep off the internet. [The internet being the fastest growing means of doing business and said to be "the class room of the future"]
