i don't know about the rest of you, but there's something that grates on me like new chalk on a blackboard.. i refer to that expression jws use to describe that threadbare tapestry of conjecture, fill-in-the-blanks theological approach to doctrines the bible leaves hazy and judgmental moralism that comprises the wt belief system-- you know, ``the truth," as in ``he/she left the truth,'' or ``how long have you been in the truth?''.
may i suggest that it be amended to ``the opinion?

I got wipped with a steel sprung curtain rod. I watched my mothers toes and fingers get broke. I watched TVs, hot meals, chairs, ornaments get thrown around the house. I heard constant profanities and was kicked while in field service. He would get angry while praying over a meal. I would get lectured and sworn at for not passing theocratic assignments with a 'G'. He was cruel to our dog.
He got made a ministerial servant while I got disfellowshipped for getting too promiscuous with my fiance prior to marriage.
Your story, although much sadder, brings it all back, and is a reflection of the twisted double standards and rules of what is right and wrong in the eyes of the organisation.
If any witness reading this does not believe what I went through, email me and I'll give you the name and congregation of my once step-father.

Can I ask what you are calling me to task about exactly Rex. When you posted I had allready removed the word bastard from my post and can see nothing else offensive.
And as for you calling me sick, it is you that is insensible. Neither you or me own this message board or have the authority to state what should or shouldn't be discussed. However, if you constantly feel the need to gripe about other peoples posts and criticise, why don't you follow my instructions in my last post and go somewhere else.
Until now, I had wondered why certain posters didn't want you around, and now I know why.

Randy, I wish to make use of my web space to start my own xjw site but don't wish to duplicate what other people are doing. I have had several ideas including a search engine for SUBJECTS rather than SITES on ex-jw issues. This is only one idea I've had. Do you have any ideas?
P.S. I think that we should encourage more sites because the witnesses (although wishing to continue making profit and count time) cannot ignore this medium forever. -

It always amazed me that they would class small islands as countries. You would get laughed out of a board room if you sent 1 rep to each of 200 islands and told the rest of the board you had achieved expansion in 200 countries.
