I think I will need to read the book to answer your first question. The diagram, while interesting, is not entirely self explanatory.

To your second question... this is a big one. There is much posted on this site already about witness history and how some doctrine changes have be hidden or buried; and how the witnesses explain their constant flow of new doctrines as "new light" and "food at the proper time". Perhaps someone else can elaborate on this or provide some links?

oh yes, and how you would be disfellowshipped now for holding the beliefs that the witnesses had a few decades ago.

leave me alone...a survey.

ever since i released the news about the island project im working on, a lot of my online friends have told me that they would probably go crazy if they found themselves on an island.

maybe they are right but ive been wondering ever since just how much interaction people really enjoy with others in their life.. i know im an introvert and enjoy spending a lot of time by myself but i also enjoy spending some time with others as well.

I have a huge social group but I am a loner. If I am couped up with people for too long, I go insane. I need time on my own. It's almost as necessary for me as is food, water, air and sleep.

I've posted it to my site and will be leaving them there if anyone wishes to link to the jpgs. There are also a couple of higher resolution ones without the word <small> in the title.

When you see this pic, remember that the early bible students were almost obsessed with this diagram and some had large murals of it on the wall. (actually, I'm trying to find someone who can print it in A3 so I can frame it - but I'm just strange).

I have also printed the title page so you can see which book it comes from. The ads in the back of the book make interesting reading aswell.

surfing around and i came across an interesting site that explains all those little "buzz words" that we love to hate....an example.... in the truth .

the state of being a dedicated, baptized servant of jehovah.

Another term explained:

"The Last Days" = any year since the Jehovah's Witnesses started up.

The witnesses have preached that we are in the last days ever since they started, well over a hundred years ago now.

I was just reading in the book studies in the scriptures printed in 1913 that we are in "the last days".

ok here goes - after 15 years of unimaginable shit (wait, you guys can imagine!

) and a tearful phone conversation tonight with my mother & father, my father is willing to sit & discuss jehovah's witnesses with me (he actually sounds open).

i left the borg when i was 17. my father is an elder.

sorry but I also agree. there will also be the JW bottom line which is... anything they cannot explain logically or scriptually is becuase Jehovah has not choose to reveal it yet or it is beyond our understanding, or simply that we just need faith and to trust in Jehovah and his faithfull and discreet slave. These facts explain everything.

if you had a jw hat on, how do you explain to someone why in the gospels that women who were "known sinners" were not stoned?.

why wasn't the woman who washed jesus feet already dead?

why were prostitutes allowed to live there in jerusalem?.

Jesus answered your question by saying, "he that hath not sinned throw the first stone".

perhaps my judicial comittee could have applied this.
