We had a Hindu brother who fell in love with a 13 year old. He stalked her, stood for her house screaming that her parents were keeping them from their *love*.

The elders reproved him and send him to the another cong (same city tho). He kapt harrassing her. She got an alarm-phone, her father was a wreck ... and the brothers did nothing, they said that to put the Hindu brother for a worthly court of justice (in other words the police) would be a sign of not trusting Jah.. I don't know the outcome -- I left then.

Hi Paula !! Welcome to JWD.

You mentioned problems with posting a picture : when you hit the reply button (or when you create a post) you will see in the format section (somewhere left to the smilies) a paperclip. When you click on that you can upload a picture and select it after that to attach to you post. I have no clue how (and if) you can change your profile name.

not only am i not a smoker, i have never even tried smoking of any kind (besides a weird .

half hearted attempt at smoking blackberry tea from a homemade wooden pipe.

friends of mine who smoke, besides the complicated layers of guilt, talk about a basic .

Well ... First off, you have found a forum with people who are mostly incactive, or ex Jehovah's Witnesses. We all have had questions and doubts about the organisation, and seeked answers to those questions.

So my first advice to you would be : honor your doubts. Ask the questions (here, internet, etc) and don't stop asking till you get satisfied with the answer.

About the dreams. I am not a psychologist (or any other profession which can explain dreams) but I am 100% sure it's not Satan thats talking to you. Maybe it's your subconscious telling you to get away from the organisation.

Every person has a touch of the divine in him/her. It is our moral compass, Aristoteles (i believe) called it the divine truth. We know right from wrong in our core being. Every religion, in its purest form, holds true to this moral compass. So maybe, when people live true and just, have compassion and honor life - we all worship the same "god".

when i was 9 i wanted to be daisy duke from the dukes of hazzard, but had to put aside the dream when i realised my legs weren't going to ever get any longer.. when i was 12 i wanted to be ghandi, but realised wars wouldnt stop because i missed breakfast.. when i was 16 i decided that by leaving the borg and living fast and hard enough being alice cooper was achievable.. now i'm 32 i think i'd quite like to have the sensuous, striking confidence and certainty of helen mirren when i grow up.. who did you want to be and why?.

While growing up I was torn between being a millionare or being a mother Theresa like person and working in the third world.

The I became a JW.

Then I became myself again and now I am still hoping to become a millionare (dang where is that winning lotnumber) and am doing minor good deeds like writing for Amnesty.

Reinstated 5 yrs ago

i am just trying to understand what my choices are.

i have been reinstated for just over 5 yrs and still have not had my privileges back.

i am a single mom and have been to all the meeting that we can, doing our best outside of kids colds and flu's, not to mention car trouble, but i have always turned in my time each month and study reports, but still i can not answer.

I am not practising (or in good standing), but I am deeply sorry for you. What you discribe is a terrible lack of love from the elders. I hope you will stick around here - you will find there is a lot of support this board can offer to you.
