Director of Bloodless Medicine and Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh Accused of Illegally Hunting Lion
by AudeSapere inhttp://news.yahoo.com/zimbabwe-accuses-2nd-american-illegally-hunting-lion-060415307.html#.
harare, zimbabwe (ap) zimbabwe has accused a pennsylvania doctor of illegally killing a lion in april, as it seeks to extradite a minnesota dentist who killed a well-known lion named cecil in july.. jan casimir seski of murrysville, pennsylvania, shot the lion with a bow and arrow near hwange national park, without approval and on land where it was not allowed, said zimbabwe's national parks and wildlife management authority.. landowner headman sibanda was arrested and is assisting police, it said.. seski, a gynecological oncologist who directs the center for bloodless medicine and surgery at allegheny general hospital in pittsburgh, is a big-game hunter according to safari outfitters and bow-hunting sites.
kill shots on the sites identify "dr. jan seski" as the man standing next to slain animals including elephants, a hippo, an ostrich and antelopes such as an impala, a kudu, and a nyala.. seski did not respond to messages left by the associated press at his home and with an answering service for his medical practice.

When I first saw the name of his hospital/company I wondered if there was any connection. -

You guys are all so right. I remember the lil cartoon about the girl and her ice cream money. I was saying lil girl go get your ice cream. And seems like they keep going back and changing their own books. Esp when they changed the bible I was surprised. And yes the few songs that had a tiny bit of umph are now gone.
But since posting this I've listened/read some very interesting things on YouTube that was a eye opener. "Johnny" the bethellite was one. Basically using these believers for free labor. $90 a month c'mon!!!
Had a non-JW family member get married recently and JW fam was there. I couldn't help but feel some hatred for how they've ruined my life as far as relationship with my JW mom and now df dad. But that's all a post for another day.

thanks to all of you for your comments....
DJS YES!!! that small part of me that never stops thinking "what if they're right". Can't erase it out of my head hard as I try. Even with all the disagreements I have with their propaganda. smh
I'm sure this nostalgia will end soon. I recently moved and my Uncle(elder) gave KH in new area my address to call on me. So I've been constantly coming home to tracks and invites left on my door because I'm usually at work. Eventually they will stop coming by.

Back again since about 10yrs ago. Last year attended the International Convention in New Orleans and was feeling some type of way afterwards. Went to a couple of meetings and then the thrill was gone. Just went to the convention this past weekend in New Orleans and was ready to go by Friday afternoon. But stayed because of my mom needing me there with her.
Been contemplating just going back for the hell of it. But after re-reading some of the topics on here im rethinking that. Been visiting other religions over the years but always feel that sense of "comfort" at the KH even tho that same place has been the source of much pain. Anybody else ever went back just for the hell of it or missing "friends/family" from years ago? How was it? Oh forgot to mention I'm df, been out for almost 20yrs. Seems like every couple of years I get this weird urge to go back.

Does your niceness be lie your evilness?
by prophecor inpeople that i work with on the job think i'm such a nice person.
i guess we all try to show to others our good side.
in public i try as best i can to conduct myself in a better than civilised form and fashion.

WOW...I love when I saw this topic. Many people I work with think I'm the nicest, kindest person. I am but I hide my evil side very well. But I'm only evil or mean to those that deserve it. And alot of my evil thoughts are kept within meaning I dont act on it...but boy do I have some evil thoughts sometimes.

"screwed, the undeclared war against the middle class" by thom hartmann.

First I would like to recommend to all the Vampire Huntress series by LA Banks..The WHOLE series so far is AWESOME.
I just finished reading "Memoirs of a Geisha" so many more details than the movie. I saw the movie months ago, just read the book, and now watching the movie again.
I'm currently reading Laurell K. Hamilton's "Guilty Pleasures." so far so good.

Funniest JW joke on TV
by brianhenke inwhat is the funniest jw joke you saw on tv?.
many years ago, gary burbank had a tv special here in cincinnati in which a number of jw jokes were made (like teenage mutant nin jehovah's witnesses).. and there was this funny moment from the weakest link.
it wasn't supposed to be a joke, but it sure is funny:.

I've seen many but the funniest to me was at the beginning of "Friday". When the 2 old ladies knock on the door and begin their "presentation"
"Good morning would you like to know about blah blah blah?"
Craig (Ice Cube) says, "hell no and slams the door in they face"
1 of the old sisters (Ester from Sanford and Son) "well F**k you, you half dead m**ha f**ker.....c'mon sister"
I know that wasn't good quoting but you get the idea especially if you've seen it before

FLUER DE LIS WALLPAPER = TRINITY VISITING CO SUGGESTS IT MUST GO
by ZazuWitts ini can count on one hand the number of times i have spoken to larc's sister since his death last fall... she will briefly chat if i make the effort to phone her - but doesn't call me.
yesterday, i did phone her - to tell of her of some family news that i felt she should know.
she told me they had spent the labor day removing wallpaper, that was already in the home when they moved in.
