  Coincidences or synchronicity

  I have these all the time and i chalk them up to just wierd coincindence but it happens a bit too often for me. I just stop telling people about them now.

  people that i work with on the job think i'm such a nice person.

  i guess we all try to show to others our good side.

  in public i try as best i can to conduct myself in a better than civilised form and fashion.

  WOW...I love when I saw this topic. Many people I work with think I'm the nicest, kindest person. I am but I hide my evil side very well. But I'm only evil or mean to those that deserve it. And alot of my evil thoughts are kept within meaning I dont act on it...but boy do I have some evil thoughts sometimes.

  i picked one up today i'm really enjoying.

  "screwed, the undeclared war against the middle class" by thom hartmann.

  i am finding it to be very insightful into why jobs are being sent overseas.

  First I would like to recommend to all the Vampire Huntress series by LA Banks..The WHOLE series so far is AWESOME.

  I just finished reading "Memoirs of a Geisha" so many more details than the movie. I saw the movie months ago, just read the book, and now watching the movie again.

  I'm currently reading Laurell K. Hamilton's "Guilty Pleasures." so far so good.

  Funniest JW joke on TV

  what is the funniest jw joke you saw on tv?.

  many years ago, gary burbank had a tv special here in cincinnati in which a number of jw jokes were made (like teenage mutant nin jehovah's witnesses).. and there was this funny moment from the weakest link.

  I've seen many but the funniest to me was at the beginning of "Friday". When the 2 old ladies knock on the door and begin their "presentation"

  "Good morning would you like to know about blah blah blah?"

  Craig (Ice Cube) says, "hell no and slams the door in they face"

  1 of the old sisters (Ester from Sanford and Son) "well F**k you, you half dead m**ha f**ker.....c'mon sister"

  I know that wasn't good quoting but you get the idea especially if you've seen it before

  i can count on one hand the number of times i have spoken to larc's sister since his death last fall... she will briefly chat if i make the effort to phone her - but doesn't call me.

  yesterday, i did phone her - to tell of her of some family news that i felt she should know.

  she told me they had spent the labor day removing wallpaper, that was already in the home when they moved in.

  I'd appreciate some insight on what my mother claims was said at assembly

  okay, well my mother called this evening and was all emotional about her one day assembly.

  i was shocked she brought it up, as we just do not mention the religion anymore, but lately little things keep getting said at her conventions and assemblies that seem to be making this line something she wants to cross more these days.

  what she brought up, was something i had not heard mentioned on here and i wanted some insight from people who actually heard it or knew more about it.

  are maybe they might feel that with all going on in the news that some may feel "special" that the elders are taking time out to call on them and "feel the love" and want to come back because times are bad with all the wars and stuff...

  The work of preaching will no longer focus on the neighborhoods of nonbelievers, but rather on trying to get those who have left (disfellowshipped, disassociated, and the inactive) to come back to the religion. Elders, Ministerial Servants, and spiritually strong publishers will be making an active effort to let those who left know, the preaching work is over and this is a sign of the end being ever more near.   HMMM..I think there might be some truth to this..when I read it I was like OOOOOOO thats what's going on...Recently I was given the message thru my JW mom that both of my uncles that are elders are NOW AVAILABLE to answer any questions I might have after almost 9 yrs of me being df'd they're just now being available. I was like wtf at first but now I see...

  So that might be part of the big announcement..."Those pubs that are "strong" may have new territory....da'd, df'd, and inactive ones....

  i read a whole lot so my brain is used to conjuring up a image to go along with whatever i'm reading....so i was laughing at some parts and shaking my head (in understanding cuz my mom does some looney stuff too).

  on another note..i never knew humans could get mange...

  I watched his show all the time and stupidly even tried one of his pick up a snake on a stick moves recently. (it was only a baby snake). But I heard about it this morning and the headline was just Croc Hunter tragedy and instantly thought a croc/snake had got him. But a sting ray? So sad for him and his family and Sui.

  Did you,or anyone in your Hall come to Meeting Drunk?Anything funny happen?

  we used to have this guy that came to bookstudy drunk and he would mumble all through it, and fall asleep and wake up yelling an answer.

  i never went to meeting drunk, but i certainly drank a few to get me through sometimes, took the edge off the continual damnation spewing from the stage.

  another "sister" used put kahlua in her coffee cup in service.
