i have read the chapter 19 of isaiah, which scholars of high criticism believe to be authentic, of isaiah himself.

in this chapter there are more than one prophecy for egypt.

my question is, how many of them you found fullfilled and unfulfilled?....

i just saw it last night.. did anyone see it?.

i gave it 2 stars.

kinda boring and pretty much a fantasy!.

HISTORICAL accuracy isnt even an issue in this case. We all know the story was borrowed from the babylonians/chaldeans during the jewish stay in babylon. Science doesnt support it, and any fool should be able to see its fairytale quality, up there with Jack and the Beanstalk. (Or, JEANStalk if Morris is looking for a pair of nice tight ones!!)

i've picked up two that stood out to me but i'm sure others will have noticed more:.

he gave an illustration about fearing god and he said it is like a wife who has spent all day preparing the evening meal for her husband and she hears him come home and perhaps she is trembling a bit out of fear that he might not like the meal she has cooked for him....!!!!!!!!????.

the other was about verbal abuse and how it should not be used but rather than site the effect it has or the forms it can take he said that we shouldn't call each other " dumb dumb" or "knuckle head" .

i went to the meeting this morning and we had some guy from overseas bethel give the public talk.

6 countries subsidize the rest.

he said in some countries all the donations that they get from contributions don't even pay the electricity bill for the branch buildings so money has to come in from these 6 richer countries.

They have just made nearly 400 000 000 selling their property in NY. Cant some of that go towards it? After all by the time the old London Beth hell property is sold they will probably make nearly 100 000 000.

They " donate" funds to foreign branches then claim it back through charitable status. Meanwhile the country they donated to donates it to another country until any charity investigation cannot trace it, probably to the Cayman islands.

And didnt the congos all contribute their savings accounts? (and cannot ask for money back for essential work: the society said they must find funds from local contributions)

I am starting think witlesses really ARE just that. They cannot retain or think clearly about anything.

this was my first assembly/convention of any type since the 2002 convention at the dome in houston.

i do attend from time to time,probably enough to keep up with whats going on.

there is one experience i thought was a bit over the top.. 12:05 song no.
