i know what is missing from my life, it is an individual that deep inside i know i have been yearning to know, but never know how to ask if he'll accept me as a friend.

i do not know how to find him cos i feel so worthless inside.. how do i share my life with jesus?.

fortunately, i'm off sick, so have the luxury of some free time!.

i dont hate the governing body, nor the president.. not even rutherford.. after reading all that old dub material i came to believe all those old croakers running the org are just pathetic, brainwashed old men, trapped in their 60 years of organizational experience.. i feel sorry for the old fossils.. imagine all the life experience theyve missed out on.. imagine the disaapointment when they finally go up the tunnel of light into death and find out theyve been slaves to an entity that eats souls.. they just dont know any better.. i pity them.

"..following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air.."

"..defilements of the world.."

"..worldly grief produces death.."

"Yet those who marry will have worldly troubles, and I would spare you that."

Worldly ways - not eating and drinking. No explanation given though. The Bible is read according to you hearing - but anyway here's an example I read of a worldly way.

-- After all this time, you know you disappointed your mother and I very much, you left, without writing, spent everything and now would like us to bail you out. You'll have to work hard. This might sound hard-hearted, but it's best in the long run.
-- The brother - does not even speak of the sinner as a brother but rather "this son of yours".

And God's way:
No proof on the sinner's part. Let's celebrate with this joy for my son is alive.

the blessing of jehovah-that is what makes rich, and he adds no pain with it.

materialistic pursuits govern the lives of millions today.

The JW way isn't about giving your possessions to the poor - but they seem to be getting better at disguising a desire for things (coming soon to a world near you).

A more direct approach to the subject would be this truth.

" any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple "
and glady, because when seeking Him to help you make the change,
" no man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God ".

Like the Samaritan, giving material help beyond what appears to men to be natural, and to those he never saw before.

Like some above mentioned hospital workers, who "do the same" as the Samaritan (he knew how to both bind wounds and use oil).

I think that sounds a bit plainer. Not as 'fine'.

Reference to 2 Maccabees in Hebrews 11?

That's right - that's how you interpreted what I wrote, but it's not what I meant. Why is it that you didn't hear worldly ways as 'the self-righteousness and self-important desires of men'. It's in the hearing, like with Matthew's writing - spiritual language doesn't revolve around the rules of english, but rather on the hearing of the listener.

And what did I mean by 'hearing'?

No, I wasn't referring to eating and drinking, and other such human activities - just as Matthew didn't mean, "I'm here to stir up trouble between good folk, and that's my thing".

You may display a problem that psychologists call the fundamental attribution error; after reading 'partake' you seemed to head straight for ideas regarding bodily intake, etc. - and similar types of things with reading the Bible. "Be careful how you hear"

Christians honour and bring honour to their parents in the humble refusal to partake in worldly ways, regardless of who their parents are, and if they become without parents, well, they are accepted and adopted by God in any case.
The rebeliousness written of in Micah is the opposite case, i.e. the worldly ways of some being brought to bear against just family members.
