After a year of enjoying reading posts I've decided to join!

i'm just an average guy that been there, done that in the jw domain :) .

i reached my "zenith" lol in such domain at the early age of 20 (i'm now 29) while expanding the work in various foreign language congs as a ms with almost all elder privileges except participating in jc's...the only jc i took part was mine last year :).

by the way, my last wife, a christian, caught me several times reading your posts... she thinks that all of us (including myself) are just a bunch of frustrated individuals...oh well no wonder she left :).

The Christmas Star

jw literature tries to persuade us that the star was actually sent by satan to guide the evil magi to the site of jesus and his family.

yet, the bible tells us in genesis that god was the creator of all the stars in the heavens.

nowhere that i am familiar with does the bible state that satan made any of the stars or any other celestial object.

Herod murdered about 20,000 young boys as a result of the information he obtained from the wise men whos star led them to Herod!! Do you think that God cooperated in the death of those children?

Matthew 2:12 and having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

BTW like most rulers of the day Herod was ruthless , murdering his wife his three sons, mother in-law brother in-law , uncle and many others he didn't need any help killing these children.

It is confusing no matter how you look at it, however I am liking the way "christendom" explains

Jesus's incarnation more and more, that it is a mystery, finite humans can't fully understand an infinite God.

Wow, in a matter of what 15 or so posts we covered all the bases on the resurrection of Jesus. Stupid religons have been discussing this for two thousand years and can't agree 100%. (plus we figured out the Jacob angel fight thing btw gumby the angel did give him a nasty limp so I read)

your questions are the equivalent of "Did Jesus have the same size penis when he was resurrected? Since he was in a slightly different body, wouldn't it stand to reason that he might have a better penis?"

What your saying I think is Jesus was resurrected as physical man then transformed as a spiritual being?

So his body died again ?

Why can't he have his body and his spirit and use which ever one suits him at the time?

the LIFE FORCE of Michael was TRANSFERRED to the egg inside his earthly mother Mary. I didn't say Michael BECAME an egg. I said his life force was transferred to the egg.

What's the difference?

Michael was not "resurrected" to Jesus as a man. That phrase appears no where. That concept appears no where. What we both know is that the LIFE FORCE of Michael was TRANSFERRED to the egg inside his earthly mother Mary. The virgin birth. It NEVER says Michael DIES.

How could one of the most powerful angels be transformed into actually not an egg but a sperm?

What was he doing as that egg and was he alive and aware comin down the birth canal?

I think at some level he was dead intellectually.

The second resurrection is actually a resurrection. The man Jesus was dead for parts of 3 days. If Jehovah had not taken action, he would have REMAINED dead. Jehovah did take action, however, and Jesus was resurrected from the dead. Then later, he cast aside his fleshly body, and ascended to the heavens. This ascension is not a resurrection. It is a transformation.

So then Jesus had another physical body that died?

In regard to Jehovah takeing action Jesus said "Destroy this temple, and in three daysI will raise it up."

I think the standard christian belief is the kingdom of God was established in heaven 33ce with the outpouring of the holy spirit, with the earthly reign to begin then with Jesus's second coming.

Matthew 28: 19,20 ...... All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.....
