in my opinion, the kingdom hauls are only half full for two reasons....many have left but the majority are pimo and any little excuse will keep them home and they will report their token ghost hours in service.

all it takes to stay home is being tired, too much school homework or i will go next week, no doubt many have taken part-time jobs and the fear of working the second shift and the guilt of missing meetings is gone.

Are Beards becoming more acceptable due to decline in membership?

i noticed a young brother with a beard being given more privelages within our hall.

when he first grew his beard, he lost his privelages.

but more and more recently he has been helping out a lot more.. the cobe is old school and a stickler for rules, but with the hall becoming more empty these days, and the need for young brothers, he seems to have relaxed on this particular watchtower/man made rule.

Anyone go on a cruise?

just finished a 7-day cruise from nyc on norwegian cruise line (ncl- gem).

this is my first cruise in 30 years, so my past experience does not count.. overall, a great experience.

ncl does a great job.

We did the exact same cruise you did but with the NCL Breakaway. We had a balcony room, which is a must in my opinion you can't beat sunrise and sunset from your room.

I will probably do one more to Bermuda but overall it's not my thing. Wherever you go you take your own crowd of people. Rooms and bathrooms are like a camper, hallways to rooms are cramped, dining area is cramped, pool on boat is small, sun bathing is cramped, I know space is limited.

All-inclusive vacations are way better in my opinion. I like to get the traveling part done and enjoy the destination, cruising makes you feel like you never get done traveling.
