Does eating a rare steak = eating blood?
by neverendingjourney ini always wondered about this when i was still a jw.
i just assumed that it was improper for a jw to eat any meat that wasn't thoroughly cooked, especially steak.
i though everyone could see that the red juice contained blood, which, if eaten, amounted to a violation of the prohibition against eating blood.

If you are dissasosiated............
by Heather indo the elders have to reinstate you if you start going back to meetings.
i was told a while back that you would be treated as a person on reproff with all restrictions but now i'm hearing that if i go back i will have to wait to be reinstated.....this is such bullsh**.
i really don't want to go back...but my grandmother just passed away last week and i went to the service(it was at the kh) and was able to see my family that for 4 years now has bearly talked to me...and i go to see my 2 beautiful nieces...whom i would love to have a relationship with.....so i started thinking maybe i could go to a few meetings to be able to have something to do with them.....well i went today....i was so upset earlier that i went and smoked a bit to calm me down...heeeeeeee .....so anyway....i was soo irritated and bored all the f-ing answers that some of them come up with....i guess i just keep thinking about the other side...they really do think that those of us on the outside are miserable......i was more miserable today then i have been in years just sitting there trying to pretend.

Its spattered with some truth about them, but a lot is LDS propaganda. The Isrealites coming to America dont wash because of DNA research done on the native populations. No archiological evedence of the historic battles that supposedly took place in New York state, no eyewitness testimony in historical records. "Facts" quoted in the book of Mormom, such as the animals, horses, that were here when the two tribes arrived in the Americas is false, thes didnt come to America untill the explorers from other countries brought them. The book of Mormom was frought with so many mistakes that it could not be accepted as an inspired work from God, so it is not looked upon as the center of the Mormom beliefs, but merely as an object of proof that God had openned up a channel of communication to men through Smith.

Is WTS chronology flawed?
by cultswatter inhistorians agree that jerusalem was invaded by babylon in 586/587bce.
the wts discredits most historical records and says that jerusalem was invaded in 607bce.
the wts start with 587 and add the 70 years that jerusalem lay desolate to obtain the 607 date.. if jerusalem was invaded in 587 then it lay desolate for only 50 years (587-537=50).

Flawes??? You are so kind...Its a lie. Objects, such as time lines, signs and potents, everything Jesus told his followers not to do. The borg does this to attack followers to themselves, not to establish a relationship with God that needs only one intermediary. Samething Satan did in the garden of Eden and we have an idea how Gods going to deal with him.

Met/spoken to two former Jw's I knew this week
by cyberdyne systems 101 inwhat a strange week, first someone who posts here turns out to be someone i knew from many years ago, and we end up speaking on the phone to catch up and share our experiences, and then last night i'm in the supermarket when someone says hello to me and when i turn to look its another person who used to attend my old congregation.
his reason's for not going was the lack of love shown to him and the fact that questions he was asking were going unanswered - sound familier?

"TRUE BROTHERS" that were made as JWs have the love, and when the smarts come along and they remove themselves, the love is still there, and greater friendships, understandings and spirit grow past the cramped, conditional, confinning borg. My best freinds are XJWs.

What % of JW's think they will make it to the New System without dying?
by JH inwhen i joined some 20 years ago, i was 99% sure i'd make it alive and see the new system without dying, because they way they put it, the end was so close, and i was so young.. today, if i was still going to meetings, i would say that i would be 20% sure of seeing the new sytem without dying first.. if you were still a jw, or if you still are going to meetings, what % would you say is your odds of making it to the new system without dying?.
