  he was picketing the kansas state capitol today.

  some of his signs were very disturbing.

  Does anybody know anything about Fred Phelps? He was picketing the Kansas state capitol today. Some of his signs were very disturbing. And what really got me was he was flying the American Flag upside down. And what got my mom was his sign "God is the reason for 9/11!"

  just thought I would get some other opinions about him.

  that is one thing Dave and I always agreed on about his step-father and step-grandpa. Okay after said that. I have meet a couple of people who Jerry Falwell taught and preached with. And they would hit home and one of them was from Iraq. But everyone has an opinion.

  Any Diabetics here...

  i've been on the pills (actos 45mg metformin 1000mg 2x daily) for a couple of years now.

  can't get my a1c below 7. my doctor finally convinced my insurance company to give me byetta.

  started it yesterday and i can not believe how low my sugars have fallen.

  Several years ago I diagosed as have Poly-cyctic ovarian syndrome. which can turn into type 2 diabetes. My body does not know what to with the natural insulin found on our bodies. And with me eating more sugar on top of that it was turning straight to fat. With that said the dr's have put me 1000mg of metafomin twice a day. Sometimes it will interact with stomach and sometimes not. But I have switch to higher fiber breads and whole grains. And instead of eating that one candy bar that I love so much i go for a handfull of grapes or berries. it is all about control. And with being said I have lost over thirty pounds since Valentine's day.

  it wiped the city of greensburg out.

  greensburg is about a 100+ miles from where i live.

  now, every wall cloud that i see will be scaring the hell out of me.

  the roads to st Joseph MO was closed today. And they were evacuating people out of Topeka today as well. The Missouri river has already crested today. So I am sure more flooding on the way. Thank goodness the rain has stopped for now.

  I know I am ready for some good weather. Between the snow in the winter and all this rain this spring I am ready for some sunshine. last night we got two more inces of rain. so we are at 4 inches so far and more coming.

  MrsMcDucket, I have cousins in Wichita. And another Uncle in Kingman. I have family all over the state.

  I have an Uncle in Lakin Kansas and my father lives in Hutchinson KS and I am in Jackson county. There is storm warnings allover tv and radio now. Including flash floods. some farms have already gotten 5 inches of rain and more is coming.

  my heart goes out to Greensburg Kansas. It was very sad.

  hi all - well i got here a few hours ago.

  the flight started off well, but i got over greenland and suddenly got very ill - high temperature, and nausea.

  i called the flight attendants who moved to the back and in the process i fainted.

  Crumpet Welcome to the States! sorry the flight wasn't so great. I hope you enjoy Texas though. I know I really did. It was propably one of the better vacations Dave took me on. But then again I just loved the malls. Sorry guys I loved you too.
