but, what I don't understand is that in this area of kansas is mostly farmers and poor farmers at that, who have belonged to a church for as long as i have been born, there is not a Great Need here for the JW's. sowhy are they here?

I really wasn't paying that much attention to it, just thought it was a new office building or something like that. That is when my Mom told me that they are building a new Kingdom Hall. I was like really. Right away I was thinking there goes Holton. Which is a small town about 40 miles north of Topeka, KS. What I find amusing about it there is one just about 15 miles on south of the road. oh well I guess if they have that Kind of money so be it

the wwe canceled its live "monday night raw" card in corpus christi, texas, and usa network aired a three-hour tribute to benoit in place of the scheduled wrestling telecast.. .

has anyone heard or read about this case.

this wrestler(benoit) murdered his wife and child and then hanged himself.

alot of those wrestler died of a young age has nothing to do with drugs. Owen Hart fell from the rafters doing a show, Andre the Giant died of an heart attack. granted there is some drug use in wrestling and in all professional sports but there are some good guys out there as well

Unique regional foods

all of this talk about bojangles chicken has got me in the mood for a food related topic, so here it is.. .

is there any food dishes or style of cooking that is unique to your region?.

growing up in dayton ohio, i have a love affair for "dayton style" pizza, this is pizza that is thin crust, cut in squares, and they use diced meats and veggies, along with provolone cheese.

I have to agree with KC barbque, it is alot better than Memphis. But to be truthfull I miss the German foods the most. I lived in Germany for over ten years growing up, and I miss it dearly. The papa fritz and snitzel yummy and don't forget a good bratwurst with sweet kraut and onions. I was too young to drink beer back then so I can't tell you about it.

well for as long as i've lived here in knoxville, there has only been one chicken chain-kfc.

we had a church's/burger king combo, but church's eventually shut down.

even though my roots run deep in kentucky, i think kfc is lousy, and much too greasy.. .

Dave, Clyde called the other day it seems that Dwaine Setser is trying his hand again in the chicken. That is one of his stores he hopingto be opening more just don't know when and where.

you were my first love and youll be my last love ...living in florida has given me the opportunity to see couples who have been.

together for decades sometimes dating back to the second world war.. .

it has always amazed me how some couples can stay together for 20, 30, 40 .

I can base my answer on my grandparents marriage and other family members. My grandparents were married for 60 years. We lost Grandpa 6 days before their 61st anniversary. My uncles and aunts have been married for almost fifty years or so. Before we lost my aunts. My parents were married for ten years and got divorced. Mom remarried and the 2nd marriage has lasted 23 years this July. I really think it is all about timing and a little romance. My mom would say don't go to bed angry at your partner. Grandpa would say let the woman rule the nest like Grandma did. With me I don't think I'll ever marry again. Just due to the fact I can't find the right person. Yes, I am talking to someone right now. But who knows. There has only been 4 people out of my imediate family that has been divorced. And I think that was because we married the wrong people for us.

believe it or not. My mom works for Pizza Hut in Downtown Topeka just 5 mins away from the all state buildings. He was outside the state building with about 20-30 people. Just across the street from mom's store. i should have had my camera but by the time I thought about it, is was too late. how can some people so ignorant. I mean small children were out there. like 3-5 years old. I would have never though about it.
