My Mom wants:
'Pardon me if I don't get up"

for years i made it known that when i die, on my stone, .. or plate, or whatever, .. it should say.
"what the hell was i thinking" well now as time goes by i think i would rather it say.
"he died ... living"
My Mom wants:
'Pardon me if I don't get up"

i haven't picked up any publication of my husband's for a long time.
this morning i was up early, and decided to take a look at today's reading, as the book is always on the kitchen table.
sorry i don't remember the name of the book (daily reading??).

Sorry I don't remember the name of the book (Daily Reading??). Then I looked at Monday and Tuesday as well. Nothing but gloom and doom, and even a "how thrilling it will be when Jehovah begins armegeddon and destroys.............."
If this is how his day starts, reading how awful things are and how thrilling it will be when it is destoyed, what a crummy way to start the day. Not for me says worldly wife......
my step daughter had her pioneer priveledges taken away from her.
the elders involved did not tell my husband what the real reason was for it.
she had done something months prior and that is what elder discussed with him, but that wasn't the real reason, something else happened to make them remove her priveldges, which i won't go into here.
Es: that is unreal. Ick Ick Ick!!!
Thanks everyone for your comments-

The whole thing seems so weird. I would hope my children will talk to me about ANYTHING, as I did with my Mom. It just seems backwards to "confess" to a BOE but not talk things over with your own parents thouroughly first. But, I've never been a witness, and husband and his grown children are (him since age of 18, his kids raised in it).
Thanks all-

She is just over 18, so yes I guess the elder is to be commened for not divulging information to her Dad, and keeping confidentiality. What I find sad is that my stepdaughter would rather lie to her own father, or not talk to him at all about these things, and instead has to talk to elders and then get punishement from them. It seems to take parenting right out of the equation.
Thanks for responding jws-

One elder is supposedly my husband's best friend. My husband found out about the "infraction" from his ex wife, who didn't tell him what happened either right away, and she knew for a few weeks at least. My JW husband is seething. Is this common practice not to inform both parents, for Pete's sakes? He was not told the real truth behind ther removal of her priveledges, and I know this will probably damage their friendship. Never being a witness, I told him that I really don't understand how things are handled, but I also am upset for him in that being the girl's PARENT that he was not kept informed.

i wanna hear the word that made you either physically nauseous or burst out in uncontrolable laughter.

"Worldly" Oh yes, that is me.
"Mental Regulating" Better get those children regulated-
"Mother's Room" Where's the father's room? What do they in in THAT room?

i was sitting here at work thinking what could i do to my other half this morning.
my brainstorming concluded that i should repent of my sins and make a request to get reinstated.
instead of calling her at home, i figured she was probably in front of her computer doing bills and such so i shot off an email.
Incontheivable!!!!
You guys are so funny-love that movie.
I don't think I'd have the nerve to send my husband an e-mail stating I wanted to convert....he would be SO MAD at me for even making a joke out of it, I think.
my wife got dunked, so i am an "unbelieving mate" (ubm).
however that name does offend me.
i do believe in god, and i am deeply grateful for christ's sacrifice.
My hubby gets lots of "I missed your wife" at the meetings, but nobody calls me personally. Ever.
Same for my husband. Almost without fail each time he returns from book study or TCM or Sunday meeting, he says "so and so says hello"...to which I say "Who??" Very few of them spoke with me when I did attend with my husband. Only a select few who might not have been afraid of me, a Wordly UBM as Check has so eloquently deemed us!
My husband thinks I am afraid of the answers I will find if I do my own "research" (study), as maybe I would be afraid and then have to give up my independent thinking. He says I just confuse him, because I can take the gold nuggets from the Bible but don't believe the entire thing literally.
I will try to ask this question of him and others, if I get the chance. There was a stretch where he and I were invited to his very good friends' house (Elder and his wife) very frequently for dinner and cards. Not anymore. Haven't heard form them in months. Then again I haven't invited them over either. My bad.......

being worldly i try to get my head around this sometimes, and wondered what others opinions are.
being that my husband is a long time witness i know what the witness view is, it is all satan's doing.
since most of you are "out", has your view on the source of evil/unacceptable behavior, (whatever you personally find just out-right wrong, for me it is child sexual abuse), changed?

So is Jane your Mom? Seriously? Holy Cats!!
