Anyways....I am afraid to die....I can't dwell on it too much because it almost makes me sick. I love life so much and don't want to ever leave my life. I try not to think about it though, because it means I am wasting time on death, when I could be focusing on living....what other choice do I have???

guys: if a girl is only mediocre in the looks department but is absolutely fab-u-lous in the personality dept...........which is more important to you?
or are they equally important?
I have to be physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually attracted to a person in order to be with them. I think my husband is the most handsome man I have ever seen, even better than Johnny Depp. (now THAT's sayin' alot!) We talk about this sometimes, and he doesn't think he is as attractive as I credit him with. But I am deeply in love with the whole package of him, and I would not/could not settle for anything less.

HH: "But Jesus had family, and how he acted could teach us alot, if taken from that perspective, it could explain why he was so loving towards woman."
JW: "Oh no, we have not been told that that true. I would have to wait on 'Jehovah' to reveal that to us through the FDS class."
HH: "But don't you think it is interesting how the book says that it is religion, run by man, that had to 'demonize' women, in order to take power away from them? If so, Jesus' example would mean alot of changes to how families are run, no?"
JW: "Well, the society's publications say.."
HH: "I know what they say, but what do others say?"
JW: "Have I ever showed you Matt 24:14. Notice that JW are the only ones preaching this good news."
i once talked to a jw about disfellowshipping and was curious to how can this be showing a christly love when you all out turn your back on them.
he gave me an answer about rightousness and unrightrousness having no fellowship (which is biblical) but it didnt make sense to me.

Man should not be able to "take away or give" God's approval. Only God can do that. JWs assume that if you are df'ed, you are not approved by God. Did they talk to God about this personally? I think not.
Cordeilla: I was reinstated after 2 1/2 months of attending meetings. I was not regular, sometimes missing 3 in a row. I never went to one book study either. The entire congregation was very kind to me, smiling, squeezing my shoulder as they walked by, some said hi, found me seats, provided mags, etc. The elders were extremely kind to me at all times.
I don't have issues with "people", I have issues with "the organization". The comment about the redefining of "love" in order to control is how I feel. Many die-hard JWs can't imagine "love" meaning anything other than what they have experienced it to be. I am an adult, I didn't need "tough love", I needed "gentle love", but was kicked out on my arse, and stripped of my identity, friends, support group, belief system and family. I was raped by the society of everything and everyone I had ever known in my whole life. They should have 'caught' me and 'guided' me, instead they rejected me, as no parent should. I have always said, that if they didn't df me, rather 'engulfed' me, I would still be an active witness.

Strikes me as well. Shows the hypocrisy within the org. I don't think it is cute though or a compliment to human nature. YOU are on the ministry school, YOU choose to be, YOU make up your own damn talk. Or, I will make it up for you as long as you reference it, but then again, plagiarism isn't that big of a deal, is it. I use to make my husband's talks up for him all the time, my SIL made her husbands up, and her sons, my mother "helped" my Dad with his........... Jez
i just wanted to say hello.
i am 15 my mum just got baptised a jehovah witness and i am so fed up with life i could scream.
we dont do xmas no more, we dont do birthday no more, we dont have a life no more.
Have you considered talking to a school counseller, a trusted family member? My 15 year old would just go and celebrate the holidays with her non-JW family, and there is nothing I can do to stop her. I believe in her being able to make up her own mind though.

i used to be so into prophecy and actually loved the climax book when it first came out.
now, i can't believe i bought into that bs.
anyhow, name a ridiculous climax book interpretation.
I ALWAYS had issue with this book and during book studies, I use to have tons of outside research compiled to use for my comments, it was not appreciated. One time the whole study stopped because I just HAD to ask a question, and how the numbers didn't add up, how they figured this out or that, I use to put my hand up and ask questions. Anyways, the conductor was stumped, put the question out to the audience, and no one could answer it, ppl tried, but the more they tried, the more it became obvious that there was no answer. "I'll get back to you on that when I do some research." It always bugged me that I was better prepared than the conductor. He stopped calling on me, so I stopped attending the book study until that book was finished. This book should not be regurgitated, it should be UNDERSTOOD, but as hard as I tried, I couldn't.
My nonJW husband took the Climax book and read it. He was just shaking his head throughout saying, WTF? HOW did they come up with that? He would laugh right out loud all of a sudden and couldn't stop at some of the 'stretches'. He said that there is no doubt that John was smokin some pretty powerful stuff when he wrote this.

one thing that always pissed me off was when "faithful wives" used to blame their "unbelieving husbands" for making them celebrate birthdays, exchange xmas gifts, go to "worldly" get togethers, play the lottery, etc.
