"Lack of natural affection" Hmmmm...don't they apply that to worldly people.....but I am thinkin that it is THEM who is fullfilling bible prophesy.

i'm not sure how to ask this not being, never have been, a jw.
with millions, maybe billions, of people around the globe paying their respects to this great man, what is, or what would be, reaction from jw's (a gb member, a co, do, an elder, anyone?
) about the death of the pope and all the network(s) coverage surrounding his passing?

BigDog: I so agree with your above posting.

i will try to make this quick...... .
i have been with this wonderfull woman in a "relationship" for almost one year now (ive known her for 3 years).
she is jw and obviously i'm not, our relationship has gone almost exactly like many of the ones discribed here, hiding from parents, familly, church, etc.
Are you sending her the comments from here?

Those scriptures do not say that a Jehovahs Witness cannot marry someone that is not a Jehovahs Witness. They just like to pretend that it does. WHO is the scripture talking to? Sure as hell not you and her in the year 2005, in this country...lol. It is talking to an ancient people of an ancient time, when God's channel for Jesus to come through was being set out, when the Isrealites were still God's chosen race, when the 10 commands were still in effect (later summed up in 2), etc etc etc
They have this inability to see that the "THEM" and "US" in the bible does not mean "JWs" and "EVERYONE ELSE." The two are not interchangeable.

Loosie: Thanks for sharing this. I never thought of that before....so true!
Animals do pay respect to dead animals. Elephants mourn other dead elephants. As a group they stand around the bones and use there trunks to feel each bone of the elephant. Orca whales will beach their dead mate even if it means pushing the body for miles to get to the beach. And when one pet rat dies the others will die within weeks of the first one. Animals mourn. people mourn. Sorry to get off topic. But lets do a little research before we give a public talk.
ok, it?s taken me longer to get my thoughts together on this than i expected, but here is the reason that i have come to have doubts in the divine nature of the bible; its failure to show that the god it describes is abiding by "his" own standards.. for example, according to 2 peter 1:20, the entire bible is inspired of god.
the main attributes of "god" are that "he" is love (1 john 4:8), "he" is just (deuteronomy 32:4), and "he" has all of the power (revelation 7:12).. with that in mind, my first problem with the bibles authenticity is that this ?loving god?
murdered the entire world of men at one point in history by drowning them.
"They have created 'god' in their own image.
I like that.

Cynthia: If you love this man, follow your heart. Being married to a JW does not guarantee that your life will be perfect, right in God's eyes, or 'better'. I was married to a JW for 14 years. Real stand up guy in the congregation. No one knew that he was a lazy, abusive prick that beat on me in private for 16 years. (he was hitting me before we were married). I left him when he was finally arrested and thrown in jail. Later I met the most amazing man in the world. We were married and have been for 3 years now.
Let me tell you this. My "worldly" husband is more worthy of God's approval than that creepy JW man I married. He is godly, he has values and principles, he shows the utmost respect for me, he displays his love daily, he views marriage as sacred, none of his family has ever been divorced, he adores and respects his parents, he reads the bible, he is open to others opinions, he never puts others down, he does not force me to be someone I am not, he is a great lover, (had to add that), he has the patience of a saint, he works his ass off for this family. You know everything that the JWs say a husband should be? There are more hypocrites within that organization than out. My husband lives up to 'God's standards' much more than I have seen of the men in the 'truth'.
What do YOU want? This is your life and do not be so sure that God has not brought you and this "worldly" man together because he does not look at what religion you are, he examines our hearts. Your parents, friends etc that are JW will not have to live everyday knowing that you gave up the one man that you truly want. It will eat you alive every single day. They will forget, but you will not. LOVE is the identifying mark of the true religion....go and love....that is how you find God.
What will happen to me after I die?

The speaker on Sunday mentioned that millions are mourning the loss of the pope, at that point I started to pay attention and he continued to say that, "surely this is even more evidence for creation, animals do not display such grief, only humans do".
Yup, that is all he said, used it to support the talk about evolution. I was waiting for something negative to be said, but it wasn't.
Jez
whom do you see at this place of worship?
christian identity or their identity as jehovah?s witnesses?.
faith and confidence in?his organization?in jehovah and his promises which can only be explained by the wts.
Blondie: Where do u find the time? Thank you so much for that. I sat there on Sunday and made notes in my WT. I would have never thought like this before and now can't believe how gullible people there are. Here are a few of my thoughts:
Par 9: says to "Prove Bible truth to yourself"
This statement is very misleading and I often think of new ones. It is rot with hidden conditions. Go ahead, prove it to yourself, only if you use OUR publications and do not discuss your concerns with others AND come to the 'right' conclusion. Ie. We are right.
Par 10: says "Jehovah's spirit can help us to comprehend even difficult subjects"
Soooo if you don't understand, you don't have Jeh spirit. It is never THEM that is wrong, it is always US.
Par 12: uses Exodus 23:2 "You must not follow after the crowd for evil acts."
Rips this scripture right out of context and era (God's commands to the Isrealites) and applies it to modern day 'outside pressure'. WHA?
par 14: says "If others do not respond favorably to your efforts to explain your values to them, do not get discouraged."
It is THEM, never US. Don't ever ever ever really listen to someone elses point of view. Learn to ignore it and move on if they don't agree with you. I smell 'social retardation' at it's best here.
Par 19: says "true Christians."
That really bugs me. Verses, 'false'. Everyone but us....is a fake Christian...WE are the TRUE Christians.
