  Is "Death" All That Bad?

  what is death?

  and what makes it so bad?

  i am going to post something in a minute that is very personal for me, and yet i feel it is necessary to say.

  Moe,

  Death, for me, is an enticing option.

  However, I do have many responsibilities and they are what prevent me from seeking to fulfill my alternative desired state.

  I am just trying to be more positive about things. Sounds like some sort of blanket statement, I know. But I swear that is all I can do at the moment.

  Children, being wonderful in their own right and bringing a sometimes unknown dimension into a mothers often scary and daunting world, can often be the saving grace and elongation to what otherwise could become a premature and and abrupt ending to a confusing lifestyle and existance.

  since it is so cold and everyone is spead all over the world,,,,, just imagine that we are all , of us here on the board have been invited to a large building for one hell of big apostofest.

  would you choose to come to the party?

  I would come for a certainty.

  Infact I've been feeling a little braver of late and had some thoughts of suggesting some sort of get-together????????

  I would love to see some of you 'in the flesh', (as it were)

  To The Field! Umm, Maybe Not..

  even after all these years away from dubbism, i still get a buzz each sunday morning when i awake and think "no field service ever again!".

  i appreciate that it's now called something along the lines of "engaging in the ministry" or similar, back then we simply "went on the work".

  god, how i loathed it.. so tomorrow, instead of door-bashing and meeting attending, i will do what i want to do.

  I love pottering about on Sundays. I like to take my time cooking, no set meal-times is great for me. I sometimes open a nice bottle of wine. I take it easy on a Sunday and take everything in my stride.

  i need a vent guys, i hope you all don't mind!

  i'm not sure what has happened to me today of all days, but i just can't fight back the tears.

  i guess it must be the pretence fatigue kicking in.

  Hello Matty,

  Just thought I'd let you know what it was like for me while my person was sat in the meetings and my mind was not.

  I started to take great delight in thinking bad thoughts about those on the platform, while they were speaking.

  I would open my mouth really wide and yawn, purposefully at the ones that gave the boring talks, while they were looking at me.

  When somebody that I didn't care for got up to give a talk or demo, I would go out to the ladies or sit in the back school.

  I used to not give my talks and got out of the habit of making up excuses either. I didn't owe them an excuse.

  I stopped putting money in the contribution box and felt good about it.

  I would write notes and draw pictures of people in the hall and pass them to my kids and giggle.

  All trivial stuff really, but it gave me a sense of strength and it was the start of me reallybeing me or true to myself and what I really felt like inside.

  I don't presume that this is the right thing to do for you. However I understand how awful it is to have to pretend you are something you are not. That is where my petty, childish behaviour helped me to find my own values and eventually the courage to leave.

  Noidea and Myself's mother just passed away

  i just got off the phone with carla.

  carla and paula's mother has just passed away.

  carla said that paula had been checking her post on and off all through the night and that it gave her much comfort in knowing that so many replied and showed that they cared.

  i understand that in prehistoric europe that they had `venus' figurines that reperested the `mother goddess'.. these show an obese `woman' and r rather obscene and indecent so please do not show links 2 pictures of any of these figurines.

  If I were to be politically correct, I would question the title of your post!

  Why women and not men?

  Many of the women in my former congregation were and infact are, obese

  But I know three elders that had health problems due to the fact that they were fat bastards. Also three ministerial servants that were also so fat that that they could not tie their own shoe laces.(One inparticular needed regular assistance in getting his own shoe ON)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
