Hey, what happened during the balkland island war? Im an american so I know crap for history. I'm also orignially from South America so i wanna side with Argentina on this one. Why did both countries claim the land? More importantly, why did Argentina lose?

he later became first sea lord and was in charge of operations during the falklands war when england and argentina slugged it out in the south atlantic back in '82.
his wife shown here is lady fieldhouse - known to her friends as midge - who is a very active jehovahs witness residing in lee on solent, near portsmouth.

Does anyone else find this hypocritical?
by Shaneliza ini'm new to this discussion board, so this may have been covered before.
i was raised in a jw family,(although i have been out for over 20 years) my mom and step-father are staunch believers.
being good jw's, they are against all "pagan" holidays, yet my mom took advantage of the boxing day sales, and my step-father accepted his christmas bonuses.

Name the bird!
by Bendrr infor the story, see my "cute baby bird story" post.. seems that "peckerhead" isn't the best choice for a name.. well, she won't be living at the shop and being a "mascot" or anything so letting my customers name her is pointless and the other guys at the shop won't chip in to buy her food ($3/day for mealworms).
you see what i came up with, so why don't y'all give me some suggestions for a name?.
small, ravenous appetite, sometimes clumsy, and for some unknown reason just loves me to death.. so what do you think?.

we have already established that fred is a cute kitty with two hearts, one for pumpin luv and the other for pumpin blood, and that he likes getting his belly scratched. In the face of such cuteness, I cannot condemn Fred. Until it is proven that he is not an adorable kitty, I will like anything fred sez :)
